FAQ

What is your school's curriculum and how does it differ from other preparatory schools?

At Mauldeth Road Primary School, our curriculum is designed to provide a well-rounded education for our students, including core subjects such as English, Math, and Science, as well as a range of specialist subjects like Music and Art. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of each individual student, and we work closely with families to ensure that our teaching is aligned with their expectations. We differ from other preparatory schools in that we place a strong emphasis on developing our students' social and emotional intelligence, as well as their academic abilities.

What teaching methods are used by your faculty?

Our faculty employs a range of teaching methods to engage our students and promote their learning. These include direct instruction, inquiry-based learning, and project-based learning, among others. We also use a variety of resources and technologies to support our teaching, including interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online learning platforms.

What extracurricular activities are available for students?

We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities for our students, including sports teams, music and drama clubs, and special interest groups. These activities are designed to provide opportunities for our students to develop their skills and interests outside of the classroom, and to build friendships and social connections with their peers.

What is the teacher-to-student ratio in the classrooms?

Our teacher-to-student ratio varies depending on the age and needs of our students, but we strive to maintain a low ratio to ensure that each student receives individual attention and support. In general, our ratio is around 1:20, which allows our teachers to give each student the time and attention they need to succeed.

What opportunities are available for college preparation and placement?

At Mauldeth Road Primary School, we are committed to preparing our students for success in college and beyond. We offer a range of resources and support services to help our students navigate the college application process, including counseling services, college fairs, and workshops on essay writing and interview skills. We also work closely with families to identify colleges and universities that are a good fit for each individual student, and to help them secure scholarships and financial aid where appropriate.
