Great example of eco friendly engineering. I wish windmills could be built today. Let's hope we will see Maud Foster Windmill turning again soon. It would be lovely to see and hear the mill stones turned by wind. You need a head for hieghts, but well worth the climb to the top. I'll enjoy my breakfast oats I bought, knowing they came from the mill. A trip back in time to see and understand how old-fashioned engineering worked.

Our family enjoyed our tour of the mill and learned lots along the way. They were very understanding that the youngest two in our party didn't want to climb up any higher. Our daughter seemed more interested in drawing smiley faces in the flour on the floor but we had cycled a fair way so she was tired. I'd definitely recommend taking a tour but certainly not for young children, better for teens and older. Thank you for an interesting visit.
