Do not use this company. I live next door to a property they manage. All the fences in the garden have fallen down. I called Mike who told me they would not repair them for two years after threatening legal action he told me that they would repair the fences. He is now avoiding my calls, text messages and emails. I will be taking both the acting agent and Landord now to court as I have a dog from the neighbours garden in my garden and they refuse to fix the fences. If you want to use a company that will mess about the neighbours and cause issues this is the company for you but I would stay away from Matthew Estate Agents and I look forwad to seeing Mike and the landlord in court.

Speaking as an Estate Agent for the best branded online agency myself, knowing how good I am at customer service, the whole journey from the initial phonecall to leaving the property was so bad. Let me be real, The estate agent Mike Matthews, didn’t even introduce himself, try to even build a rapport about the property before entering. As soon as we entered, quoted rightly, Mike said “ Have a look around “ I’m sorry but speak to us about the property? Talk us through the rooms? The next bad point is, he didn’t even state there would be another viewing at the same time, He just left the apartment whilst speaking on his phone and told people to come upstairs, All of a sudden, our viewing didn’t even feel important anymore. The kinds of questions that we were asked “ Can you prove you pay this amount from your bank statements “ Well duh? We’re in rented already as stated if you were listening and that’s a question during referencing. I’m sorry but beautiful property, but it’s mad how someone’s service can put you off going forward with it. So we ended up spending over our budget just because we loved Sam Turner at Centrick Lettings. Sorry Mike, next time just be less hostile and show you’re interested! :)
