Matthew is an excellent guitar teacher - he has taught our daughter for about 2 1/2 years through a mixture of online and in person lessons and she has come on in leaps and bounds and very much enjoys and looks forward to her lessons with him. He is very patient and approachable and he adapts the lessons to suit her musical tastes/styles to make the learning more enjoyable. Matthew has been teaching Sam for a few years now. From complete beginner, Sam can sight read music and play along to things. Matthew is always patient and indulges in Sam’s challenges such as walking up stairs with a book on his head. Matthew also answers my musical questions and is patient with both of us. Absolutely highly recommend as a teacher and someone who is passionate about music in the wider community.

Sam has been attending guitar lessons with Matthew for a couple of years now and really loves it. Matthew is patient with Sam’s short attention span (!), encouraged him to practice but not just with melodies from a book or scale practice but real songs that Sam already knows and would choose to play. Matthew fosters a love of music which is what I wanted for sam rather than for it become a chore. I’d highly recommend Matthew for anyone looking for similar.
