I have seen this review which I find surprising, as in my experience the advice given has always been professional and appropriate, without being coerced into buying unnecessary products. I have been a patient of Matheson Optometrists for several years and visited a number of their practices. Where eyes are concerned it is essential to have a good hygiene standard to prevent infection. I personally have found the guidance on use and purchase of related products of great benefit to me.

Very disappointed. Choice to have my eyes checked with them as I was told they are very thougher even though they are expensive. Had the works done and was very impressed with the survice. I booked in for a contact lense test a few weeks later (even though it was £85) This test was done buy someone else who spent the entire appointment trying to sell as much as possible to me (eye drops, eye whipes, special cleaning solution as the standard isn't good enough amoung with loads of other stuff. When I was told I had to have the most expensive lenses on the chart too (even tho the fitter said I would be able to have a more reasonable brand) I decided that I was not willing to buy anything from them now. I paid for my test and left. Very disappointed to find out that the owner has called my house phone today while I am out and chosen to dictate to another member of the household how I need to go in and buy things from them. Due to this I will be be retuning. Discrasful.
