I really enjoyed the experience of doing the photoshoot with Helen and choosing the resulting images. Both sessions were relaxed and comfortable, even though I was days away from giving birth. Helen put me at ease and gave directions that were easy to follow. The experience definitely exceeded my expectations. I had wanted to have some images taken of myself, heavily pregnant, to present to my husband for his 50th birthday present. I wasn’t looking forward to having the photos taken, wearing make up, having my hair done etc. But the whole experience was really empowering and seeing the images that Helen captured was very special. I was so pleased that my husband loved the pictures and an album could be made as a unique memento of this special time in our lives.

The communication with Helen before the session was great, including the information you got in emails. I really appreciated the wardrobe advice leaflet, I found it very useful. Seeing Masque photography on Facebook/Instagram and especially especially TikTok really helped me see visual examples of what to wear/bring and also show that the sessions are for Everyone! The session itself was sooo smooth and was made to feel extremely comfortable (and sexy!) from the outset. Hair and makeup was beautiful too which always helps when having photos taken. Walking in, Helen was just as excited as I was for the shoot which is always a nice feeling and shows that she loves what she does. Whilst having the photos taken I appreciated that Helen didn’t get annoyed or frustrated when I personally wanted to change a particular outfit because I didn’t feel 100% in it, she in-fact made me feel comfortable and like I had creative control over my shoot too which was great. Helen was so supportive during the shoot and was motivating making me feel incredibly confident. As someone who suffers with anxiety it instantly felt like my body just relaxed as soon as that first picture was taken, it’s honestly hard to explain until you experience it yourself. After the session it all hit me that evening as to what an amazing, empowering experience it really was and I’ll be honest I just cried when I got home. I think in all honestly it was because I was proud of myself for not only doing it but enjoying it as much as I did and just feeling so good whilst doing it! Having now seen my pictures, I can honestly say it is well and truly worth every second before, during and after the day. The finished photos are honestly even better than expected! I can’t wait for them to be delivered and show them to everyone!

A memorable and amazing day for the 'Wise Women' of my family 👪 My Nana loved having her hair and make-up done, all very natural and bringing out her beautiful blue eyes. We were coordinated by Helen into natural and comfortable poses and the results, which we saw earlier today in a Zoom reveal, are just beautiful! We've chosen a selection of the best to have as digital copies but we also take away the memories we made of that day. Helen was excellent at bringing out our best qualities!
