Visited as part of Open House. Given a tour and talk on the history of the building. It is on the original site of the Bedlam hospital. The current building is from the 18th century, where the railway hotel builder added a Masonic temple in the middle! In the 70s it was "rooms by the hour" around here. And so they bricked up the temple, hidden until '96 when the new owner renovated it. It's still used by the masons but you can rent it out for events too.
