I brought my two Cocker Spaniels (5 years old and 4 months at the time) to the Leeds centre. It’s not only great training for the dogs, they also train humans as well. I feel a lot more confident walking both of them now and actually enjoy it.

We have just completed our 14 week training course at the Leeds Centre with our energetic reactive 2.5 yr old Lab x GWP Lola. Tommy was our trainer/handler and we cannot believe the difference in Lola's behaviour in a short space of time. Tommy explained everything in detail and made sure we went away understanding the training process to follow. It hasnt been easy and there have been a few hiccups on our journey but as Tommy explained the training never really stops. We are not first time dog owners and considered ourselves to have a reasonable grasp on training but Lola was throwing stuff at us we didnt know how to deal with and we are so pleased we found Tommy at The Dog Training Company. We feel we have more of the dog we had hoped for after completing the course and are more confident and better equipped to take Lola forward now. We brought our 9 mth old GSD for training to the Leeds Centre. She is very good natured but pulled on the lead and was reactive to other dogs, birds, cars etc. We had an initial assessment then booked in for a Boost day and 5 training sessions. Our trainer was Tommy who was amazing. We cannot believe the difference in our pup now, she is now a pleasure to walk and is not as reactive to other dogs. No matter what you think you know yourself about training, these are the experts and we wouldn't be where we are without his help and guidance. Most important is the connection Tommy had with our pup and her to him, you could see she enjoyed the sessions. I would highly recommend this company. Absolutely worthy of 5 stars.

We brought Zeus in as an extremely reactive dog after a recommendation from someone who has used The Dog Training Company Leeds. We had the initial assessment and then signed up to a 5 stage programme which involved 3 boost days, where Zeus had one on one training with Tommy and the team. From the first boost day, we saw a huge improvement with Zeus. It wasn’t easy at first, but we really embraced what was asked of us until Zeus returned for his Second Boost day. We were given tips and techniques to support the training. Whenever we had a question or query or just needed advice, Tommy was on hand to support and guide us. Zeus has made huge progress, and we will keep enforcing the steps from the programme to ensure he is the best he can be. We want to say a huge thank you to Tommy and the team, you are all amazing. The passion and dedication and commitment you show to the dogs and their humans is outstanding. We will be forever grateful to you all. Toni & Philip

We can’t believe how much Oso has come on in such a short space of time. Such a unique way to teach young puppies and of course their owners, but if you put into practice the advice given you will see a difference. This specialist dog training company has done a wonderful job of helping both our 2year old Cockapoo and importantly us as owners.We were not new dog owners but it had been 11 years since we had a young dog, we were getting a few key things wrong. Our dog struggled with anxiety resulting in aggressive behaviour to other dogs and strangers, she also didn’t like being left alone. We had tried a couple of local dog trainers in York with varying success, The Dog Training Company Leeds are a league above and easily worth the fees for the result. I can highly recommend Tommy Handley and this company, they have made a huge difference to our dogs and our lives. Thank you.. He also asked for our commitment to the process as the practice work done by the owner with your dog away from the sessions is critical Tommy started by taking us right back to basics, explaining the relationship between owner to dog and trainer to dog, gave us a clear re-starting point and it has been a process of learning for all of us. You will get very clear feedback which is a real positive as sometimes we are the problem, not the dog. We opted for a package deal, started with boost (all day session where you leave your dog with them ) and then 4 x 1:1 sessions and finishing with a home visit. Before that we went for an initial assessment where they assess your dog then after this first no obligation session they propose a bespoke training package for your , dog and YOU,. Thank you.

We have been taking our wire-haired viszler Eadie to Tommy at Leeds dog training since she was about 12 weeks old and is now 10 months. We signed up for the Gold puppy package & Tommy has been brilliant in not only training Eadie but teaching me and my husband how to carry on with the training. Eadie has become a pleasure to walk after the recall and lead work she has learnt with Tommy. He seems to have magic powers, she is super obedient with him! Would definitely recommend!
