Its a shame coz usually lovely this place, but yesterday me and the Mrs both got cornbeef slice chips and gravy. When it came the chips were rock hard . When the lad came over to ask if everything was ok I told him no the chips are disgusting. When I went to pay I was asked again and again I said no the chips rock hard . Between us both we eat about 5 chips . So we ended up paying £21 for 2 cornbeef slices and gravy really which is absolutely disgusting. Sad to say buy probably the last time we'll ever go 🤬

Hubby brought me here for breakfast and first visit to Establishment. Waited a while at sign which states "wait here to be seated" and eventually told to find a seat. Both had full English breakfast, not the best we have had. Eggs had crispy film on bottom so chewy (obviously put in too hot oil/pan to start cooking), egg shell on my plate (hubby noticed before I ate), Bacon overcooked, mushrooms tasteless, toast, hash browns and black pudding nice. Loved the booths seating. Loved the heart shaped shortbread biscuit which came with hot drinks. Didn't use toilet facilities (if they had as didn't look).

I went there today with my woman and a friend. We enjoyed the best full English. The only things was the mushroom should have been fried preferably rather than blanched but the hash browns were on another level. My Mrs also said she doesn't normally like sausages but the flat skinless sausage meat was amazing. Prices were reasonable and also some cheap deals on certain items. Point to note, they have won the best fish and chips for serval years since opening. Friendly staff. Clean and pleasant cafe, well decorated and modern. I haven't found a better cafe in Hartlepool yet and I would recommend you give this place a try.
