FAQ

What vaccinations do you recommend for my specific travel destination?

We recommend different vaccinations depending on the travel destination. Our healthcare professionals will discuss with you which vaccines are necessary for your trip, based on the country you're visiting and the activities you have planned.

Are your healthcare professionals certified and experienced in travel medicine?

Yes, all of our healthcare professionals are certified and experienced in travel medicine. They have received specialized training in travel health and are up-to-date with the latest guidelines and recommendations.

What other services do you offer besides vaccinations?

In addition to vaccinations, we offer a range of travel health services including pre-travel consultations, advice on travel health risks, and prescriptions for medications that may be needed during your trip. We also provide post-travel consultations for travelers who may have become ill during their trip.

How far in advance should I book an appointment before my trip?

We recommend booking an appointment as soon as possible, ideally 4-6 weeks before your trip. This allows enough time for you to receive any necessary vaccinations and for the vaccines to take effect. However, we can accommodate last minute appointments if necessary.

Do you accept insurance for your services?

We do not accept insurance for our travel health services. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made by cash or card. We will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if applicable.

Never left a review about our doctors before but after the experience my partner had on the 8/12/22 thought on this occasion I had to.Arrived with my partner for his appointment ten minutes before his time.He signed in and we sat down waiting to be called.Twenty minutes went past and still no sign of being called so he went to reception to ask when he would be called. He was told they would contact the doctor in question and he sat back down another eight minutes went past and the doctor called him in while walking to the consultation room he was asked if he minded a student being present to which he said no.Everything was fine until he tried to collect his prescription from our local chemist later that day to be told they hadn't received it so he decided to leave it until the next day which was the friday still no prescription at the chemist by this time he realised the doctors was shut and would have to contact the doctors on monday.I rang our doctors on the monday 12/12/22 to ask what had happened to the prescription the receptionist said it had been sent so my partener walked down to the chemist to be told no it hadnt. I got back on the phone to our doctors and the receptionist was still saying it had been sent, but after me telling her it was for an appointment on the 8/12 then she realised she was getting the prescription mixed up with his regular medication which had been sent the day before his appointment and infact the other prescription had not even been wrote by the doctor so would have to contact the said doctor.I can only put this mistake down to the student being in the room and distracted so the doctor forgot to write and send the perscription my partner was told he would get. He has now said he would say no to students present during any future doctor appointments and I dont blame him.He is 73 and could of done without the run around especially while the weather is so cold.!!

My mother in law received a letter today, 15/03/22, for a blood test and medication which has now expired. The letter was dated 03/02/20 and was postmarked 10/03/22 when sent. A blood test bag was enclosed dated 10/02/22 so clearly this has been mislaid and given her age of 88 I'll leave the reader to decide if this was a priority or not? On managing to get through to the reception she was told it was a typing error! However in my opinion there's little room for error where health is concerned and even though the date should have been 03/02/2022 it's still delivered 5 weeks late!! Fortunately at my surgery in Bolton the admin are on top of their game!

The doctors and staff here are all brilliant. Could not be more helpful or compassionate. The ask my GP service is amazing too as I always receive a call back the same day with help and advice from either a doctor or nurse. A great practice.

Extremely unhelpful and gobsmackingly undermining on reception. Tried to sign up, wouldn’t work online, was told “well why’s it so urgent on a Friday afternoon anyway”. AVOID.
