Once again I have to endure an awful interaction with the staff on reception here, no one else waiting and reception person not engaged with anyone, when saying good morning I’m rudely shown with a pointing finger a tablet screen to sign in, past history here with this tablet is that it never works, I indicated this to the receptionist only to be begrudgingly asked what’s my name and who am I seeing? The point of this review is so the practice can see how bad their front of house staff are!!!!

I joined with Martonside surgery after moving back to Middlesbrough in 2021, I couldn’t join my previous surgery in Middlesbrough I didn’t fall under catchment area. So I joined Martonside the experience that I have had for over a year now has been traumatic. The reception staff are so unhelpful and not ever willing to listen or help. They are very quick to put the phone down. I’ve even had to tell a reception staff to calm her voice down because she was almost shouting at me. I have a young child and they have even failed to book in her seasonal nasal spray, I have had to chase them for it. I definitely have no faith in this surgery anymore and definitely would NOT recommend others here! You give respect you expect it back. I work for the NHS too and by far we are not like that on the phone to anyone that calls.
