Great belts and great minds in Mini Mauls and Mauls! I have learnt a lot TKD thanks to my savvy instructors and mates. Also about healthy life as these tenets are part of every session: Courtesy, Integrity, Humility, Perseverance, Self-control, and Indomitable spirit. My husband and son have never missed a graduation, and are fascinated by the knowledge, methodology and respect with which we are taught this martial art. My daughter and I are totally hook!🥋🙏

I like this club. I have been participating here in training for a year. The first time I participated in Mual was when I first arrived in the UK. I don't know much about British culture and English, but I'm happy to make new friends here. Everyone is very tolerant, and inclusive, and loves to help each other. Every class is very interesting and we can learn a lot. The instructors will not only teach traditional Taekwondo which is only focuses on kicks, but also will add a lot of skills, such as weapons, women's self-defense, etc. All coaching is voluntary, and this club is also a non-profit organization. I can feel that they try very hard help ladies, especially those who are trapped in traditional concepts, and more easily to practice their favorite martial arts. They really create inclusive, happy and relaxed learning environment. They even provides language and training assistance specifically for newcomers with English, or senior age members. All in all, I am glad to join Mual and train here for some time.

I started going to the group in September and immediately felt so welcomed. I saw how amazingly the group worked together, how kind they were to each other and how caring. I watched the phenomenal Instructor Team at work and saw how seriously they took the Student Oaths and Tenets and how well they worked together to lead this group of powerful women. These are the things that make the club, not just getting fit or learning to fight. From coming to MAUL, I’ve seen that being a Martial Artist is much more holistic than being able to kick and punch well. There’s a beauty to it, especially in the forms which can be quite meditative. Most importantly though, there is a training of the mind, a desire by all who are there to become the best version of themselves that they can, regardless of their physical prowess. Needless to say - I’m hooked!

Went for a taster session during Dec 2022. This group looks like its going to implode. Everything felt very over kill, as if trying to prove how amazing and great they were 24/7. If you say anything negative or bring up men they look at you with burning eyes. Felt very disconcerting. I give it two star because I was disappointed in how different this group was in person, compared to the reviews here. This was my experience. Maybe they had a bad day! I wish them well.

I was a complete beginner when I first came here. It is very beginner friendly, everyone is welcoming and willing to help you regardless of the colour of their belt. For me is a safe space where can get more in touch with my body and provides a community that I was looking for!

Friendly, supportive, non-judgemental, non-competitive club with a wide range of abilities. I started MAUL having never done martial arts before, and it has changed my life for the better in so many ways.
