    After receiving a message on my dash stating that the 'Pre-safe is inactive I called Mercedes-Benz to discuss the issue. I was informed this is likely due to a software issue as our car required a recall, which would likely solve the issue via a software update, complimentary of MB. Marshalls Bolton were very helpful and mqnaged to arrange an appointment before our family holiday. Without the pre-safe the car has no blind spot assist or lane assist and all important safety function's in a crash situation are restricted. With a 5 hour drive each way in the coming weekend, I was keen to make sure the issue was solved before setting off. I arrived at Mercedes-Benz this morning to be told the pre-safe issue is not related to the recall and that I'd have to pay ยฃ178 to do a diagnostic on the car, which 'may' find the issue of the pre-safe fail. Afterwhich they may be able resolve the issue wuth a certain part or possibly via a software update, all of which would be at my expense. I waited in the showroom for approx 3 hours, walked outside for some fresh air and found the car was still in the same parking spot. The recall update hadn't even been started, even though it was made clear I needed the car back by 3pm to collect the children from school. The reason we bought the MB as a family car was because of the additional safety features, which have failed. I feel its totally unprofessional of a company like MB to ask a customer have to pay for safety features which are already part of the car, but cannot be used because they require a costly 'update'.

    I had my MOT done here a couple of months ago and their was a cut on my tyre so it needed replacing to pass. Only when I got home I realise theyโ€™ve scratched my wheel. Iโ€™ve rang around 5 different people, Iโ€™ve been emailing absolutely everybody and I have been told to wait or ring someone else who would then ignore me. I am just going to pay somebody else to fix this now as Iโ€™ve paid you for a service and youโ€™ve damaged my wheel! How can you even ignore me? Awful. Please be vigilant if you go here.
