Had gearbox service carried out on my audi a5 stronic gearbox today. Was sent a link for an inspection cam. Report came back as rear subframe corroded. When I asked about replacing this I was toldvit wasn't needed as it's just surface rust that every car as underneath so why put it on the report and try and get me to pay for something not needed. Also they then scribbled out the price and said it was priced wrong as they dont know what needed doing. Next was my tyres. 5mm all round?. Had my tyres replaced November 16 2022 and they have not done a lot of mileage and its mainly motorway miles as well. Michelin Pro pilot sport last longer than that. They still look like new. Next is front brake discs and pads 14% worn? These were replaced 6 days ago and have done less than 200 miles(motorway). At their calculations that's a set of discs and pads every 6 weeks. I questioned all of this and I was told it was just visual and wasn't necessarily needed then changed subject. Rear discs i know are close to changing. So why ring me and leave answer nachine message to ask if I want any of this work done before I pick it up. Also have all this on inspection video as well. In my opinion they were trying to get work that wasn't needed so if you have an audi be very careful and don't agree to work until they show you what's wrong. The desk staff though were excellent.

Avoid Plymouth Audi. Bought an S5 in October 2022. Was told one of the keys had low battery, they didn't know which one it was, so gave me the battery and told me to go figure. I was also hounded by my sales rep, Charlie, to leave 5-star reviews, before I'd even left the building. Got home, figured out which key it was, only to find once I took the manual key out the shrouding inside was broken. Took it in, they took it to the workshop, brought it back in various smashed up pieces saying it had been glued together. They then told me to lie to the insurance company, saying that I had broken it after sale. I told the insurance company it was broken before I bought it, so clearly, they weren't going to cover the damage. After a lot of back and forth, usually where Audi would tell me they'd phone back, but never did (I'd wait a week at a time, and then phone them myself), they eventually told me they'd foot the bill for a replacement key. I still haven't received it. On top of this, when I first reported the damaged key, I also reported a front parking sensor being faulty in the rain. I took it in for investigation, it came out with a broken front grill and was told that that was the reason. The grill was not broken when I handed the vehicle over. I tell you know, nothing has even merely tapped the grill, but apparently it's in a bad condition with "things hanging off it behind" and that they wouldn't have sold it to me like that. That is complete and utter rubbish. To me it is evident that they're 100+ point vehicle inspection check was never completed properly. I have spent far too much money on this car to be treated with such a complete lack of respect from this company. I want to return the vehicle, and be done with it. I bought from a legitimate Audi dealership to avoid this level of hassle. It's clear that problems exist throughout this entire branch, not just sales, but apparently after-sales, service and the workshop too. Avoid at all costs.

The service department is poor, maybe not quite as awful as the Exeter branch but poor. I had my car serviced there and they were an hour late returning the vehicle to me, so I was sat there waiting. If they had told me they were running late that would have been fine. I questioned changes to my service plan and the advisor got aggressive with me, so in the end I just let it go. I asked if there was a number I could ring, she told me to go back to the documents from when I bought the car 3 years ago . . . . I pointed out this was quite unhelpful and she did get me a number in the end. There was some items of work I would have wanted Audi to do, but they were so behind that if I had said yes to do the work I would have had to drive the car in anther day. This would mean more waiting around and another hire car . . . Thanks. When the car was returned to me, the inside of the screen was so smudged and covered by spray marks that I had to pull over as it was night time and I could barely see out of the window. They had also adjusted all the setting on my seat. Just going back and forth I understand but why move it up and down and everything? The attitude and manner of the service team is also just poor. I got rang up after the service and the caller was like would you be happy to give feedback. They asked me some factual yes/no questions then said, would you be happy to give your service advisor 5* rating yeah? Like basically making it as awkward as possible for me to say no. They were not after genuine feedback they were just trying to get 5* reviews with no interest whatsoever in trying to improve their service. Avoid avoid avoid avoid.

Terrible after sales experience. I recently took my Audi A6 for an MOT, not only did the "complimentary health check video" contradict the £2k+ worth of work that they wished to carry out but this comes from a garage that can't even correctly diagnose a rear washer wiper fault, when though, said garage told me on collection they had repaired the fault and took my money I was delighted, only to test it the next morning to find it still didnt work, when I complained, I was told by a young lady that they replace the cheapest parts first and work up to the more expensive ones before completing the fix! "WHAT A JOKE" Why tell me you've fixed it, take my money and then leave me to find out its not actually been fixed at all "Insane"!! Really not happy with this level of service, especially when I paid £40k when I purchased my car through Marshall new. This is on top of being told that they don't warranty parts that have been replaced under warranty???? I think the training of staff needs to be much better and if dealing with existing customers this isn't how you go about retaining them for future business!! Sort it out Marshall...its currently really quite bad. Update: Just been called by the general manager who doesn't agree with me that I shouldn't have been told the car was fixed if it wasn't actually fixed..what world are these people living in. So the next time they have their own cars fixed only to find they've not actually been fixed, they'll be okay with that...how can you become a general manager with this level of intellect? Not only was I talked over whilst expressing my complaint, I was told I was rude and that, if I was to leave a negative review on Google she'd have it taken down... "is that how the complaints process works"? It's a bit like... "please leave your cash in my purse and your complaints in the bin" attitude! I'm possibly just getting old and grumpy but surely customers still deserve to be treated with respect when lining the pockets of these businesses.
