Disgusting dirty working environment.. all meat kept to after its use by date and repackaged until sold , !! if still not sold it gets marinated so you wont know..! The Pork trim for the Cumberland sausage is left out for 3 days uncovered and covered in flies before use.!! ,, The steak is actually just argentinian beef bought pre packed... none of his products are sourced in Cumbria so dont be fooled....!! Even Dog treats are made onsite in a human food only environment with the same machines.!!! Avoid at all costs.!!! Theres better out there..!!

I've always had great service from all staff. They are very knowledgeable about their product and don't mind going the extra mile with advice, suggestions, etc. To date I haven't had any issues with products bought in store and at the numerous food fairs they have a stall at, and I don't expect to in the future.

Bought steaks and sausage from this butcher at Westmorland County show. The sausage was good but sirloin was tough and gristly. The vac packed T bone I also bought was off and smelled sour when I opened it on 11th Sept, just three days after purchase. Use by date was 15th October! I do know about meat and sorry but this wasn’t good at all, it must have been off when it was packed.

Absolutely fantastic we buy hams from them every year for Christmas super tasty and juicy! Got two rib eyes today from Cockermouth food festival. My gosh i will not be going anywhere else for my steak ever again. Bacon absolutely gorgeous! Also had a 5bird roast of them for Christmas £12 one did 2 of us 3dinners each and even had a little bit leftover for my dad. Super tasty not dry at all. Absolutely fantastic all round. Been going here since they opened in aspatria. Best chicken around and cheapest chicken around!

This is the online order process. Your goods are despatched but no confirmation is sent. No tracking code is provided. So you wouldn't know to make sure you were home. Of course I missed my delivery. Your raw meat is then held unrefridgerated for 24 hours (in a polystyrene box) and redelivered the next day, again at an unspecified time.

The finest spicy meat stick available outside of my... no, wait, my mum might see this review. Really nice cured meats and such. Hey, @WayneCartwright - if the roast is dry you f@#*ed up cooking it my dude, and yes, it cost money to deliver things. Also @rebeccasmith once had a goldfish I though died. But the next it was alive again, but it couldn't sing as well as it had. All my dad did was go to the pet store in between! I think it is magic, but other people tell me sometimes things look the same, but have different qualities. Idiots.
