Market Place books is a great store for finding something new to read in Christian Books. İ am a customer there most weeks on go on a Saturday. You have to remember it closes at 1pm on a Saturday. The selection, for a small store is very good with Bibles, Commentaries, Fiction, Christian Living , new titles, gifts, music and cards. There are probably one or two categories İ have missed. The staff are always friendly and Matt, the manager, is willing to source a book for you. Why O only gave four stars is that the card selection could do with a few younger designs, apart from the excellent Hannah Dunnett range. Trying to find a humourous, or a card for someone in there 20's could be harder. Otherwise I love shopping here. The store isn't usually full so if you are worried about Covid then you can visit safely. Masks are asked to be worn in store and sanitiser is available as you enter. İ will keep returning as Christian Bookshops need to be supported. They are now at the front of the URC church in Kendal and there is parting nearby at Brewery Arts Centre or other car parks. About a 6 minute walk from the Westmorland Shopping Centre. Do visit, İ believe you'll find something to encourage you or challenge your thinking.

Very friendly staff and great selection of Christian books and music. Plus cards, calendars etc. If something you want is not in stock it can be ordered at once. Delivery is pretty quick. Good place for a chat and even coffee if you want.
