    The last 16 weeks have been life-changing, so I thought there was no better way to thank you than to post about my experience. I went to see Mark for the first time in January, 5ft 8, weighing a couple of pounds short of 100kg, sluggish and constantly being told by my children I was pregnant. It was a vicious circle of junk food, low energy and lots of coffee. From the moment Mark and I sat down to understand me and everything that makes me tick, I knew he would not only show me how to build exercise into my life but, through his nutritional courses, teach me a better way of living with food that comes from a place of experience, having been overweight himself. I also never felt nervous or prejudged for some of the habits I've always known were not good for me, but I could not resist. Fast forward 16 weeks, and I'm honestly a new man and have entirely changed my relationship with food (and my love of weights). My goal when I met Mark was to get to 87kg; I now weigh shy of 82kg and love my new body; I also have an enthusiastic and proactive view of life. It has come at the perfect time, as my summers were always filled with cardigans and jumpers on hot sunny days to cover myself up, but I recently got rid of all my XL and large tops and replaced them with smalls. I am a 42-year-old man, and I last wore small tops when I was 11 🙂 Thank you so much, Mark. You've honestly changed my life in an enjoyable and long-lasting way.

    TLDR; I decided to meet with Mark because I felt ashamed, scared, overweight and unfit. Mark has given me the tools, knowledge and support to fight back the fear and transform myself into a better person. -------- Meeting Mark for the first time required a huge amount of courage to be able to tell my story, to be honest about where I was and to openly admit I needed help to find a fitter and healthier way to live. I was 16.5st, I couldn't walk very far because my knees always hurt, had intermitent chest pain and I had just been diagnosed pre-diabetic. I'd previously tried so many different diets I'd lost count - WW, Keto, fasting, calorie control - nothing was working for me. I was fearful that I'd not live long enough to see my children grow up. I'd hit bottom and it felt s**t. Mark agreed to take me on as a client and to work with me to build a custom plan that focused on nutrition, lifestyle choices, exercise and mental well-being. Over several weeks we met regularly to start embedding key disciplines and habbits into every-day life - building a toolkit to help make the right choices in challenging situations - tailored around my lifestyle and preferences so it felt achievable. As the weeks went on, this evolved to include more focus on nutrional feedback, guided exercise routines and weekly check-ins to ensure any tweeks were applied as required. In those moments where I felt particularly exposed to a challenging food situation, Mark was often just a WhatsApp chat away to help and provide a much needed confidence boost. Over the months I've continued to work with Mark, the plan has continued to evolve to ensure it remains relevant and - where appropriate - challenging. Even though there have been times where I've felt like quitting, been unsatisfied with my results, felt a bit down, or just fancied a slice of pie ... Mark has always been there to provide the support and guidance required to keep me on track. Reflecting on my progress so far, I feel like a different person! I now ride 100+km per week on my bike, walk anywhere I want, feel more confident in my clothes, no longer have chest pain, have beaten back Type-2 diabetes and can look forward to seeing my kids grow up.     Working with Mark was amazing in preparing me for climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in October. Mark was able to focus on the areas that would best help me trek hours at a time carrying all the required equipment and gear. Cannot thank him enough for making the trip easier in relation to having not prepared or not having trained specific areas that definitely assisted the entire journey. Not only that, but the life chats in between were pretty great too. Highly recommend Mark for helping anyone physically or mentally with their journeys.

    Mark's not a regular PT and coach, he goes beyond and actively listens to individual needs and goals. Starting with a thorough consultation where we've discussed my goals, timelines and schedule, we set up a 16 week plan together which included weekly in person 1:1 training, a regularly updated and individually tailored workout plan and nutritional education, recipes & weekly nutritional feedback as well as weekly catchups to keep me on track + discuss questions. As we head into the program and I became more confident with weights and exercises in general, he pushed to my limits to show what I am capable of while I was feeling entirely safe and supported. I think that's the balance which is extremely hard to find, besides the knowledge, professionalism, good location and good sense of humour - it's needed! I am very happy with the results, feeling healthier, stronger and owning a mind-set which allows to prioritise myself while I'm also taking care of all other aspects of my life.     4 months ago I wasn't happy with my weight and wasn't looking after myself at all. Long hours and bad habits had driven me to pile on the weight over the last couple of years. I found Mark by chance as I used to work with his now wife and she shared a post from Mark asking if anyone was ready to make a change, and I most definitely was. I subsequently messaged and we set up a zoom call to have a chat and make sure we were on the same page. Needless to say I signed up that day and the last few months have been a hell of a journey. Not only is Mark extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of fitness and nutrition, he's always there to chat and answer any questions. From weekly check in zoom calls and reviewing my food diary on a weekly basis to setting weekly gym and home based workouts the whole process has been faultless. I've learnt so much along the way about myself. Unlike a fad diet which promises quick fixes only for you to pile it back on plus more when it's done, this program has been a complete lifestyle overhaul. I'm 2½ stone down and feel incredible. And best of all I feel that it's totally sustainable. Even when I go on holiday and enjoy myself a little too much, as we all do, I now have the knowledge and the tools to get back on track when it's over.
