Truly magical! Enjoyed a beautiful lunch at Manteca, and cannot recommend enough. Venue is hip, fresh and modern. Staff friendly, and service prompt. Now for the meals. We started with the focaccia, meatballs and ricotta. All beautifully presented, ultra flavoursome. Standout was the ricotta, however they were all fantastic. Focaccia dense, meatballs delicious. For mains we ordered the ziti and chitarra. The ziti was rich is flavour, all pastas homemade and Al dente to perfection. But I have to say, the true magic was in the chitarra. Wonderful green, zesty, vibrant meal, all tied in with a yolk to be broken into an emulsion. Wine list was plentiful, and superb, all tied up with desserts that would satisfy any sweet tooth! Really just a great experience. Fantastic modern Italian, a true must-do.

Very nice experience! I’ll start with the only negative: Waiter was too busy, not attentive enough and did not have the knowledge I would have expected. Food and wine was fantastic!!! Authentic, rich, delicious. Prices are very ok for the quality you get!

We had a lovely meal at Manteca. The food was lovely- the pasta with duck fat pangratatto being a particular highlight. The price was also quite good for London- £165 for four people with wine. The only reason it doesn't get 5/5 is that it is quite noisy, with fairly loud music playing and a wooden building combining to amplify noise.

It’s not what it used to be. I’ve been coming to Manteca since it’s opening in late-2021. Back then, the food was more glamorous, creative, had more flavours and was in bigger portions (huge). Kept coming back every month until July 2022 and making a first visit since. Food is no longer exciting, pasta consistency heavily mismatched and portions extremely small. Seems like the duck fazzoletti just gets smaller every time. Service is a bit rushed (seems like they are going for volume of patrons over individual quality - partially because the Michelin guide did put them on the crazy hype of TikTok and all other media channels like). Was given a glass of wine which we thought was corked but replaced by a glass not much better. A year ago it would have had glowing reviews from me but now it’s merely a subpar dining experience if you have an extra £40 to spend.
