WARNING & BEWARE - PROFIT OVER CARE! My deep concerns with this establishment relate to their unacceptable and 'flexible' staffing policy/arrangements. When short-staffed, the management have a habit of compromising their unqualified ancillary staff, pressurising them into working closely with Residents when they should be using more qualified agency staff. Clearly, there is not only a saving and a profit to be made but more importantly, a much higher safety risk factor. They also allow and pressurise staff who are clearly unwell to continue working at the 'Care' Home regardless of the dangers of infection and in particular with Covid, subsequently allowing it to spread unchecked. Their Covid Testing policy is also unacceptable, testing on one day but allowing staff to continue with duties regardless until results are available 3 days later! This negligence resulted in the tragic loss of my much loved and dearest Father, a non-resident who became compromised by one of Manordene's staff members and they have done their best to avoid accounting for the avoidable matter ever since. The SAFETY of vulnerable people should always be put above the ‘Profit Over Care’ policy this ‘Care’ Home appears to have adopted and I sincerely hope his Review serves as a Warning to others.
