Very unhappy and disappointed how people at the the desk speak over the phone. Absolutely no manners, no respect to customer enquiries, very rude and speaks very loudly. They needs to calm down and be retrained.

So I have been diagnosed with a bone tumour on my right femur. I phoned up the gp to ask for more pain relief until my surgery appointment as what I was prescribed has ran out. The receptionist was a jobs worth wouldn't message my doctor even though this is how it wa shone last time all she kept saying is. I needed to phone up at 8am for a telephone appointment. I do not need a telephone appointment !!!!!!!!!! all I needed was a prescription for pain relief for an existing condition. So now Ive got to try and make an appointment tomorrow even though it’s impossible to get one at 8am So now I have been left without any pain relief for a tumour that is in my right femur how is this even possible ?

Very rude and unhelpful receptionist today. Literally slammed the phone down on me. Very unlike this surgery so I hope this is not a taste of things to come.

Today I had to visit the surgery after not being able to leave my property for about a week . Not being able to shower or brush my teeth due to OBVIOUS severe depression I finally with my Professional partner (7 years degree) said this is not my remit but your very ILL. We proceeded to the surgery . I had insomnia for 5/6 nights as described on the camera to the South African telephone operator. She had no empathy with my situation and proceeded to give me the brush off. Saying can Pre book a sick patient one week later?. Being prescribed a private Anti anxiety drug and strong anti depressant for a horrific event . She was not interested and said ‘Calm down ‘. The last thing you need to hear after not sleeping DAYS. Perhaps she was too easy going herself collecting her wage with the obvious minimal training ? She did not fully investigate my file at all but wanted rid of me as in fact with the lack of sleep you I suppose could lose your mind. Not fully cracked with medical health I called my medically trained mother who spoke with ‘Mandy’ who immediately identified the facts from my mother ( I am in my 40’s) mum having had over 20 medical PROFESSIONALS under her watch quickly worked with Mandy to prescribe something short term to alleviate the suffering. Subsequently the doctor WHO THEN MADE THE TIME. Not diverting me to a Covid hotspot hospital was operating with precision clarity and COMPASSION. He called me personally and gave me excellent advice. Things I knew however could have overlooked . I most certainly would not wait for ‘Mandy’ the South African telephone operator preferred to have me wait a week. Unfortunately for hear a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL BYPASSED HER . I will be consulting my doctor and the Quakity care commission regarding her DISREGARD . She made a JUDGEMENT and the wrong one. How come Mandy could go the extra mile ?. As she has Empathy . The receptionist who did not even introduce herself will be having a meeting very soon regarding her offhand demeanour . What about the old people or people with no medical family that fall through the loop. Do they pass away over the weekend?. A report will be submitted with my medical mother. Zero stars for reception and her flow chart approach . 5 stars to ‘Mandy’ the empathetic receptionist. Along with 5 stars to the doctor that responded promptly. Thank’s to both of you . Mr YULE.

Whoever took my call to check my appointment details today was incredibly rude. She wouldn't even let me finish my question and rather than providing more details explaining the process, she just sounded incredibly annoyed and was not even willing to help. "This has nothing to do with me, call the hospital, I don't work for the midwife" was all I could get from her. I was very happy with my last midwifery visit but the lady I dealt with today should really try and make an effort.

I would like to highly recommend the whole team of the Manor Health Centre for the care, medical expertise, kind attention they have always shown to me and my husband but particularly in the last few months after my lung cancer surgery when Dr Duffield and the whole nursing team treated me repeatedly for post surgery complications. Many, many thanks to the Dream Team!
