(Translated by Google) My lease is for one year, but I have been constantly renovating for half a year! It's really very noisy, which is very harmful to the ears and the spirit! ! ! ! It is also common for fire alarms to go off in the middle of the night! ! ! ! Sincerely suggest that you do not choose to live here. My lease is for one year, but there has been ongoing renovation for six months! It's really noisy and has caused significant harm to my ears and mental health!!!! Fire alarms going off in the middle of the night are also a common occurrence !!!! I sincerely advise everyone not to choose to live here. Living in Manna Ash House has been a really good experience for me. Especially when it comes to flat D. Flat D is always sunny and make you feel energetic. Manna Ash is very good in the following aspects. It has bigger space than the ensuite room in other student apartment, and you can do exercises in your room; there are staff who clean the rubbish every day and clean the kitchen every week, which helps to ensure that the kitchen is tidy and hygienic. The location is also very good, close to the tube and bus stops. It's especially convenient for the students having class in KCL Waterloo campus to walk to school every day. There are Sainsbury and Tesco downstairs, so it's easy to get groceries and cook. But I have to say that there are several things for Manna that is not good. For example, sometimes they are very inefficient in repairing or doing something, and the rent this year is really expensive. About the reception, Veronica and Anna are nice, and Ayman is the best. He always helps the students who live here: he helps students carry heavy things upstairs; sometimes his voice sounds like he is singing when he talk to students, it makes you feel good; he is willing to put himself in the students' shoes, he understands their difficulties and tries to help solve the difficulties. The email from him is special and different from others; he said: I want everyone to be happy and I will do a lot to make others happy.

The worst student accommodation I have ever seen.

I check out today. I have an ok experience at Manna Ash. The location is very convenient for me to KCL, I also have nice flat mates and I enjoy some special moments here. But sometimes they take long to clean the kitchen, and they take long to fix stuff. The staff is ok. They can be rude sometimes. Anna and Veronica sometimes they can be ok and sometimes rude, and sometimes you can hear them and the manager they will say very bad things about other students, and that makes me feel that they can say the same about me too. But I really like Ayman, he is so kind and special and he always wants to help me. Security are nice and friendly too. But I feel Manna Ash needs to do a lot better. And it’s a little bit expensive for not such a great accommodation.

Dont do it to yourself. I booked a room here for my second year of uni after a terrible first year due to covid. It is a nicely decorated and well located accomodation however, there is a lot of negative things that dont first meet the eye. To start with there is definitely a bug problem. During my stay, tiny beetles consistently appeared in my bed and on my window sill. I know that I was not the only one facing this problem. The common room also has a lot of ants and random bugs walking around, especially in the spring and summer. Then in regards to management there are a few things that bothered me during my stay. Being a uni student, I expected to have more freedom no longer living at home. At Manna Ash I still felt like I was a child. In the beginning of the year we had noise complaints from just cooking in the kitchen at 10pm. We were then told not to cook anything past this time because the extractor fan was too loud. I found this very annoying, as this is my kitchen in my flat that I live in. I was also always told I was not allowed in my kitchen (or was asked to leave) whenever a member of staff entered to clean or fix something, which happened every week at lunch time. Having friends over that do not live in in the accomodation is also a pain. There is a rule that someone is only allowed over once for a maximum of 3 consecutive days and after that they cant come over for another week. Its not nice being a student that has a best friend or boyfriend/girlfriend that doesnt live there. Especially being a student that struggles with mental health, being alone for long periods of time like this can have a detrimental effect. The last major issue I had were the room checks. I understand that room checks are going to happen occasionally in all student accomodations but it seemed like access to rooms was needed every month, which is an excessive amount. They wouldn’t hesitate to enter your room when you are not there either. I came home a few times to find some things moved or changed. It always felt like my room and personal space was not respected. I always felt uncomfortable knowing that people could just walk in and my room was not treated as a place that is my permanent home. The lifts were also broken for weeks including when people were moving out (living in a place with 7 floors). Overall I have come away from this experience knowing I will never go back and also that I would never recommend this place to any of my friends, as you are also overcharged for the experience you get. (I lived in kings college halls before this and was better than here) There are lots of other small things that have been covered by other reviews. Please reconsider living here before you commit because I had an awful year here.

DO NOT BOOK HERE. They promise a kitchen clean which rarely happens because of “health problems” with the cleaners. This means frequent fruit flies in my room coming from the kitchen. This would be fine if they actually cared about YOUR OWN HEALTH in turn. I was bed ridden and needed looking after, but their guest policy is so strict so don’t even think about having a social life or even staying alive in some cases. I was told off so many times for “almost” breaking guest policy. I have never been in an accommodation that felt more like prison. I have lived all over London and the area is convenient but honestly the staff is very rude, unwelcoming and at times brought me to tears. My time here has been anxious and uncomfortable. It’s not worth the ridiculous price to live in such hell. Just save yourself the trouble and avoid at all costs. I wish I could give it 0 stars but that one star is for my lovely girls on floor 1A :). Other than that it has been nothing but suffering. If you are not already convinced not to book here, this is my first ever review left on Google. I have come completely out of character JUST to recommend against this place. Now that I have left there… The checkout date was 17th August. They threatened to throw out all my belongings on the 9th if I didn’t collect them by morning. Thus ruining my entire holiday because I thought I’d have to rush home just to clear my room. I rushed back early to clear my room on the weekend. Handed my keys in. Put my family at an inconvenience. And the following day received an email saying checkout day was 17th August and how to prepare for it. So angry. I’ll never understand how the staff are allowed to be rude, inefficient and constantly muddled with their information.
