If I could give this company Zero Stars I would so please take away the 1 Star I've given them as they don't even deserve that. I've bought numerous cars from Manheim covering a 25 years+ period as a private buyer, probably going back longer than their most senior staff, bought for myself mostly, also for family and for friends who have attended with me on auction days but now that has changed. Attended a sale last year, bid and won a car but was then informed they couldn't sell it to me as I was a private buyer with no Trade Account. So 25-30 years of loyal custom from me mean't absolutely nothing to them and I was informed that their basis for selling now had changed for various reasons but mainly because of Covid, yes Covid would you believe, what bearing does that have I asked and I was given a shrug of the shoulders. I'm not going to bore everyone with how this felt but needless to say I've never been back and would definitely not recommend them. I now use Wilsons of Birtley and I've had no issues and are happy they don't discriminate for such ridiculous reasons. I'd say it's Manheim losing out as the private buyer will always pay that little extra to buy a car whereas a trader has to take into account a profit margin so in my eyes you're doing yourselves a disservice.
