Absolutely vile! Ordered chicken curry, sweet & sour Chicken (in batter) and fried rice. I asked for mild (thin) curry sauce with NO vegetables, i got EXTRA THICK curry sauce (it was almost as thick as the woman who took my order!), loaded with peas, mushrooms and onions! The batter on the chicken was overcooked and swimming in grease, and the chicken itself was so tough i couldn't eat it. Only the fried rice was edible. And on top of that, they now actually charge 10p for a bag to carry it in, that other takeaways provide for free. Totally DISGUSTED! WON'T be ordering anything from here again! Definitely one to AVOID!!!!!!!!

🎎🍲🥘 Best Chinese take away across Birmingham so I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a a good Chinesetake out you will not be disappointed!!! I've been going to the Mandarin chef for many years now .The staff are very polite over the phone and the food always comes on time which is piping hot and has a gourmet taste to the all the dishes. I've never once has any problems with the food served at this amazing takeaway . There is something on the menu for everyone including vegetarian options too . (I recommended the tofu in Blackk bean sauce to any vegetarian or vegan .) Theres also an English dish section too which is handy. The portion sizes are plentiful This take away is good value for money and I highly recommend it. Its easy to find with easy access by car or by bus into Erdington .

I can see that there are mixed reviews for this place. I ordered dinner today and all I can say is that the food was fresh and delicious. We ordered a mix of dishes and they were all very tasty. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

One of the worst around. Had 3 or 4 times, same standard everytime. Attached is a picture of the monstrosity they have a cheek to call "wonton". Now, culturally wonton are deep fried dumplings, usually with a meat based filling. The wonton we received were flat and pretty much empty, an absolute disgrace to the chinese culture. All other food was soggy and under seasoned... this place is low rated for a reason, seriously look elsewhere, its not even worth a risk 🤢🤢🤢
