I had a very painful condition, that had inpacted my life for 18 months, and I had exhausted all avenues. I saw Mr Paul Goldsmith in november 2022. He was absolutely amazing, he took a risk operating on me, but it has been a success, I now have my life back! He's kind, patient and a superb human being and a brilliant surgeon.!!!!

Was referred here with severe stomach pain. Many many tests carried out and the diagnosis of Anterior Cutaneous Nerve Entrapment Syndrome was given. Saw professor Sheen who said he could help. Immediately after surgery I was able to stand upright, something I hadn't been able to do for 6 months. Would highly recommend

I was diagnosed with right and left inguinal hernia back in 2019 through the NHS route, however due to Covid-19 restrictions, my scheduled operation dates were cancelled, therefore, after reading several reviews I decided to go private, under the care of Professor Aali Sheen. After an initial consultation with Professor Sheen on 24th November 2021, I was extremely pleased to hear he would do his best to get me in for my operation before Christmas. I had been suffering with a considerable amount of pain and discomfort in my groin area for some time, which was making it increasingly difficult to carry out my manual job. On 17th December 2021, I was admitted to the Spire Hospital at 7am.The surgery team and nurses were extremely caring and reassuring and this immediately put me at ease in preparation for my operation. i went down for my operation at 11am which was the exact time I was scheduled in for. I was in recovery an hour later. The procedure went very well, as I had hoped, and all my concerns were attended to expertly with great care and attention from Professor Sheen and all his team. i have just had my follow up appointment today. My scar tissue has healed well and all is going well. i would highly recommend Professor Aali Sheen and his team for this type of procedure, and also, i would like to thank the Spire Hospital nursing team for all their care and support throughout my procedure. Kind Regards Mark Dunn

Following a traumatic experience with the NHS removing gall stones which ended up with an emergency operation I decided to go private to fix a hernia and remove the offending gallbladder. Prof sheen performed both procedures via key hole surgery and I was home the following day. I cannot thank and recommend Prof Sheen enough.

I've been suffering with abdominal pain for over 6 months and it was put down to suspected gallbladder issues. I was referred to Prof Sheen who after a HIDA scan ruled that out. I was tested for ACNES as an alternative cause and surgery was suggested. I was booked into the Spire and the surgery was carried out swiftly. 6 weeks post op and I haven't had another pain in my abdomen. I'm so pleased Prof Sheen is such an excellent surgeon and diagnostician, and my issue is solved. With the lack of knowledge around this condition I am so happy the correct diagnosis could be formed and solved so quickly.

I recently was treated by Professor Sheen for ACNE nerve entrapment syndrome. I cannot explain how he has literally changed my life and after nearly a year of being bedridden, he was the only surgeon who knew how to help me. I cannot thank him enough and would completely recommend him to anyone.

Prof Aali Sheen is fantastic, a genius IMHO. The best surgeon within England for anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment / ACNE. Prof Sheen is an expert in his field and solved my long-standing abdominal pain; the surgery in London was very smooth, the Fortius clinic and the nurses were lovely. Fantastic overall experience; thank you so much!

Having previously undergone a left sided inguinal hernia repair operation in 2009 I became aware of feeling similar symptoms in my right groin area. Following a visit to my GP this was confirmed and subsequently a consultation was arranged at my local NHS hospital in November 2020. I was made aware that there may be a substantial waiting time for the operation and the hernia was becoming more painful, so I decided to research private Consultants which led me to Professor Aali Sheen. From the initial consultation an operation date was arranged for a few weeks later. I attended as a day case at the BMI Alexandra Hospital Cheadle and from the time I arrived the whole process was seamless, professional and communication was first class. I came out later that day after surgery feeling in little pain and confident that the operation had been a success. Five weeks later my post consultation confirmed this and I wish to thank Professor Aali Sheen and all of the team at the BMI Alexandra. Stephen Sharkey

I would like to thank Prof Sheen for dealing with my bilateral inguinal hernia repair so swiftly and professionally. Having been diagnosed with an inguinal hernia on my right side, I elected to pay for treatment due to the NHS waiting times caused by COVID-19. When I met Professor Aali Sheen at the consultancy he confirmed the first hernia but also identified a smaller inguinal hernia on the left. Treatment was arranged within two weeks. I was admitted at 7:00am and discharged at 4:30pm. The three small incisions were glued and no wound issues encountered. Within a week of the procedure I was walking a mile a day and in the month since the procedure I have walked around 45 miles. Thank you.
