I am so glad I decided to go with Dr Murphy at Manchester Plastic Surgery for my surgery. I had my old breast implants taken out and an uplift. I really did my research and even visited a few other surgeons but Dr Murphy was so friendly and helpful and has done an absolutely amazing job, I am so happy I decided to go with Dr Murphy, I’m so happy with the results, all the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and nothing is too much trouble. I had a mastoplexy with augmentation with Mr Murphy in Jan'23. Everything went seemlessly, from the very first to the last appointment. Mr Murphy and his team are nothing short of outstanding and I would highly reccomend both him and Spire hospital to anyone considering surgery. Mr Murphy is very realistic when discussing goals, attentive and has an excellent bedside manor. I have 2 young children at home so was obviously a little nervous about the surgery but I felt completly safe in his care, and the anaesthetist was very reassuring on the day, put me right at ease. My recovery was amazing, I had no pain or complications thankfully, and my results have been fantastic, it really has been life changing. Finally a huge thankyou to the entire team, the hospital (food and care was incredible) and to Mr Murphy who's given me confidence again :-)

AVOID DR JAMES MURPHY he ruined my nose, he left me with a deviated septum, polyps and a constant runny nose. What makes it worse is THE SPIRE MANCHESTER have a high number of complaints against this surgeon and they continue to let him operate. Just look at the negative reviews on real self that he desperately tries to cover up. THE SPIRE MANCHESTER are failing in their duty of care. He has left people suicidal, every few months I get another person contact me distressed after having a poor outcome from surgery with this man at this hospital. It’s truly shocking in this day and age.

An incompetent, dishonest surgeon who has ruined numerous peoples body’s and hides behind false positive paid for reviews. Avoid at all costs. I paid £13000 for Mr Murphy to ruin my stomach. I have been left in agony and I look worse than I did before the surgery. He should not be allowed to continue to operate this body chop shop.
