Hello, this is a little update on this bike parking, I've read all the reviews here most of them are old, so I'm writing this to update you , I went to this bike parking and checked it out, turns out it's still run by northern railway, don't go to the staff at the train station, if you go they probably won't tell you anything useful, if you want to apply and get a pass for your bike, you have to follow the instructions on the door you have to know northern railway runs their own bike parking system, and they have nothing to do with Transport for greater Manchester cycling hubs. I heard the Mayor of Manchester will standardize the bikes parking systems for northern railway and Transport for greater Manchester but who know when, maybe this will never happen. in general northern railway and Transport for greater Manchester they are not doing anything great for Cycling, I hope things will change. if you have more info, or any question leave a review or write on questions section above the reviews. Check the photos I've uploaded thank you for your time.

What’s the point? Paid for this ‘service’ and found it beyond poor. The council only pays lip service to cycling while providing terrible to no facilities. Since lockdown this is much worse with times being reduced so you can’t even get your bike after 5Pm on a weekend. Great. Thanks for nothing. Go back to what you’re best at - pandering to the rich with land rovers ruining the city

Bike stolen because door not working. Don't pay for this service. There is no service - it's an absolute joke.

Door is frequently broken and there have been numerous thefts from this location in the last few weeks. The hub is filthy with abandoned bikes, rubbish and broken bike locks scattered around. TfGM clearly aren't bothered about the upkeep of this scheme designed to help encourage cycling in Manchester.

I bought a card for this hub and found that the door won't open. I called TFGM, they told me the reader has been broken for some time and "only some" cards work and that they have no plans to fix it. They told me to ask at the train station for help - the train station confirmed they have nothing to do with the hub and that nobody can help. I had nowhere to park my bike and was late for work. I will be getting a refund on this card - thanks for nothing, TFGM. You need to stop selling the passes and take this hub off your website, as it's completely useless and even worse, ruining people's commute and day. You also need to stop claiming to promote cycling, health and traffic decongestion until you move and get this thing fixed. ZERO stars.

I paid £10 to join the Cycle Hub scheme specifically to use this hub and it is NOT working - the door won't open. I wish I had checked the reviews first! TfGM insist that it's Northern Rail's issue and that I should contact the station staff for help, but they all – including the Station Supervisor – just shrug and say they have had nothing to do with the hub for over a year. Useless.

This hub is no longer operational and the door is locked shut. According to the train station this is due to lack of demand but according to TFGM it's due to maintenance apparently being contracted to Carillion. TFGM don't tell you that it's not open on their website though.
