I’ve been visiting MCE for the past 5 years or so. They are hard to beat in terms of value for money. I’ve had my bike serviced here for years and trust them enough just to tell them to do whatever they need to and bill me after the fact. I’ve also purchased a bike and some equipment from them. They’re great!

Called into Manchester cycle exchange this morning, the service from the lads there is superb. They sorted my bike gearing out, replaced tired gearing, lubed brake cables, even pumped up tyres. Replaced my rear. This shop is a must for cycle repairs.

I dropped my bike off at MCE at 10:30 to have my brakes looked at as they weren't performing as they should.An hour later Matt calls me to inform it is ready to collect.The service is truly exceptional and the price was very very reasonable.Matt managed to remove a sheered bolt from the calliper saving me the expense of having to buy a new one and fitted new pads.I won't mention the price in case I was under charged but i doubt it.These guys know their stuff and provide an excellent service.Support your local bike shop is my advice, i certainly won't be going anywhere else in the future. **2nd Visit**25/01/20 With seized gears and a badly corroded gear cable I headed back to MCE. It was on Saturday and Matt was already busy , but agreed to take a look.I needed my bike back on Sunday for my commute to work.Matt very kindly put some work to one side and started on my bike....He probably wishes he didn't now as the gear cable snapped which wasn't an easy fix as the cable was routed internally through the frame and that meant removing the bottom bracket. MCE opens at 10 am on Sundays, Matt was there at 07:40 working on my bike to get it ready for me in time for work,this really is well above going the extra mile, and customer service that Is unheard of in my experience.I got the call on time to say it was ready and when I arrived to collect Matt gave me a full run down on what he had done and further preventative maintenance advice.Gear change is now smooth and precise and runs like new.Many thanks and much appreciation, absolutely top level service. Superb service again! I took my winter bike in that had been in storage for nearly two years to get it ready for this winter, it was in a bad way and that's putting it mildly. Martin quickly assessed what was required gave me a price and said it will be ready in 2 days. I got a call the very next day to say my bike was ready to collect. When I arrived to collect my bike I was greeted by Matt on the horn section , not just a top mechanic but also a talented musician !! I am super happy with the quality of work carried out, bike is running like new again. Keep up the good work guys.
