I came in with my son for his donation and asked if they could fit me in as well, the woman in reception said they were full. Fine, no problem. While waiting I have watched THREE people be turned away for low iron. Have I been offered their spot? No. I am an O- donor. The NHS is constantly begging me for donations and then I get turned away or have my appointments cancelled when I make them. One really has to wonder if the constant shortage of O- blood is actually due to their own inability to prioritize and manage.

Can't recommend this place highly enough. I've donated blood and plasma here on several occasions. Staff have all been super helpful and attentive, and were happy to answer any questions I had. Car park is big with plenty of spaces. Giving blood is fairly painless and quick, donating plasma takes a little longer but is just as easy. Ultimately this is about helping others in need and saving lives, I encourage everybody to give blood if they can. Thanks to the amazing staff I'm sure that more people will keep coming back.
