I would highly recommend all SEND families to attend the SEN/D Family Forest School in Platt Fields Market Garden, my family was made to feel so welcome and comfortable by Sian and the other volunteers, my children were very happy there and we stayed there a lot longer than we usually stay at activities due to my children not usually coping, it was just overall a fantastic experience.

I took my children for the first time recently and we all had a great time. Sian and her colleagues made my children very welcome immediately and we’re kind enough to accommodate our dietary requirements. There’s lots of activities to go involved with and very inclusive. Thank you

This is an amazingly magical little space in the heart of Manchester. It was just what my little man needed: lots of exploratory space, activities lead by the teachers (rather than teacher structured activities), and new and interesting things to see and do! I am so thankful this is on my doorstep and I will be returning!

Sian ran a wonderful family forest school over Easter with a wide and accessible range of activities. These gave my child an opportunity to learn more about wildlife and nature, to direct his own play and grow in various skills (from social interaction, dealing with liquids, creative role play, small and gross motor skills and story telling) whilst having lots of fun outdoors! The smooth transition from different activities, and encouragement to take ownership to tidy up & review the day ensured an integrated and well-rounded flow. I highly recommend this school for children of all ages.

What an inspiring, serene haven! Siân is wonderfully inviting, sincere and a devoted Forest practitioner, promoting a sense of adventure and discovery. My two boys have found new connections with the outdoors, encouraging them to get excited about learning, all manner of things. Toasting marshmallows on an open fire, is certainly a delicious adventure that everyone can enjoy! We love coming here as a family, rain or shine, be it pond dipping, clay modelling, bee-keeping, bush craft & sensory activities, mini beast hunts galore…We can’t get enough! Thank you 🏼

My 2 year old absolutely loved his time here. The space is beautiful with such a wide variety of activities. I am returning tomorrow with my older 2 children. Perfect place for them to explore and get messy in a safe environment. Sian and the other 2 staff there are so welcoming and just lovely. We are blessed to have things like this to attend with others SEND families. Thank you so much.

My child learned about fire safety and socialized in a safe space with their peers. I got the chance to have a brew knowing my child was safe and happy. The den making area was amazing for my little one. The host/ organizer was understanding and welcoming with the children. The sessions we have attended have all had a warm and positive environment. Thanks for a fantastic experience.
