I am rating this down because I booked a table for 10 people for a birthday with a months notice, one week before the date they cancelled it due to a private event leaving me with little to no time to find an alternative. I did visit before booking and I would say for the area this is a fairly average taproom. Weirdly don’t serve their drinks in thirds at all, and when I visited they barely had any of their own beers on tap, the one I tried was just average. Out of the two members of staff serving, one was super nice and friendly, the other seemed like he wasn’t really interested. Highly recommend going to Gravity Well in Leyton instead. EDIT: Updating review after your response - this is exactly the kind of response you should have given me when cancelling my booking. One of the main issues was how little it seemed to matter, or how unapologetic it felt in the email you sent when cancelling. Awesome to hear about you doing thirds in the future. Thanks for the honest and kind response to my frustration.

We’re (generally speaking) fans of Mammoth and visit on a regular basis, but last weekend was a comedy of errors. Despite accepting our booking for quiz night, and advertising the quiz up until an hour or so before it was due to start, we weren’t told until we arrived for the quiz that it had been cancelled (despite me direct messaging Mammoth on Instagram and them having plenty of opportunity to tell me it wasn’t on). By the time we were informed it wasn’t going ahead, we’d unfortunately committed to a drink at the venue - with at least 5 of the 10 or so taps run out and the only two alcohol free options (noting my preference was not to drink) being stouts. My husband ended up buying a can of Mammoth gose which was an odd colour and turned out to be over 4 months out of date. Tables weren’t cleared despite two other staff members sitting chatting behind the counter and TBH the vibe overall was just that they couldn’t be arsed. A huge disappointment and we hope not a representation of the MO going forward 😬

Great for the birthday party there - around 30 guests. Great range of beers, very friendly & helpful staff. One downside - only one toilet!
