Went in there and was looking at car seats and push chairs. No one offered any help what so ever as they were too busy having a conversation with one another. Then when I got help i had to actually wait for them to stop having a chat and then ask about the price of an item that didn't have a price on it. Overall terrible experience wouldn't go back here at all as they're really over expensive and the help you receive is below excitable. I left and went to UK baby centre in Ringwood and straight away got the help needed to choose a pushchair. it's also cheaper by about half the price bought stuff right there. So if you want to know how good this shop is I would rather drive over 46 miles and go somewhere else to get stuff terrible shop I'm also not the only one with this opinion of the shop we have friends who all have had the same experience and haven't brought anything because of it

We have just left mamas and papas Southampton and Sam (Assistant Manager) was absolutely spectacular! This was our first visit to shop for baby bits and Sam explained everything so wonderfully and clearly it really helped us to realise what we required and exactly what to look out for in our specific circumstances. We will be back purely because of the fantastic service!

I've received good service from this branch, but received poor service this morning. The store was basically empty with 3 staff on shop floor. Walked in and the woman at the till, when I asked for help, appeared a bit bothered and asked someone else to assist me, a very young girl. I needed assistance on understand which bottles would be best and the differences in bottle warmers/defrosters. The girl said she wasn't a mother so couldn't really advise and would get me help. The other staff member who came by then further advised she also was not a mother and therefore if I needed help with understanding feeding procedures I should contact my midwife.....? I clearly stated that I simply needed to understand the differences in brands and products. It felt pretty condescending being told to contact my midwife when I was seeking breastfeeding advice. I appreciate not all shop floor assistance people will be mother's, but the knowledge should be there to support the customer.

Took newborn to get a few items needed in store. Was very busy and took a while to be served. Had to change and feed baby and were 10 mins over our hour of free parking. Not realising this cost us £60 because it’s a video monitored car park. There is no option to pay for extra parking in the car park. If buying a few baby items it’s very easy to go over the hour. The very nature of babies and the fact it’s a baby superstore this car park is completely unsuitable to give any flexibility to new parents and parents to be. A disgusting money grab.

Not enough staffing. Stood by the till for 10min waiting to be served and was ignored twice. I’m a patient person but had no choice to walk out without making the essential purchase. Very disappointing.
