Couldn’t recommend this company enough. From start to finish, we have never felt judged or felt bad about having to ask for help. I love that their ethos is based around praise and incentives, as opposed to bribing your dog with treats to do what you want. Our dog trainer Rhiannon is honestly the most supportive and understanding person to have been around our tricky dog. We have a German Shepherd, just over a year and he has been a very difficult dog to train (mainly due to stubbornness!) but Rhiannon never gave up and never allowed us to give up either. We were getting to the point of not being able to leave the small area of our home with how reactive and pully on the lead our dog was becoming. Now, we have this amazing knowledge and the right tools to keep our dog on the right path. He’s becoming more and more of a delight as each day goes by, and it’s all down to this company and Rhiannon. Thank you!

We recently attended the Owners Booster Day at Doncaster and are so pleased we did. There were six dogs on the course who had all been on the same training courses and it was really good to see that other owners of dogs had the same issues as us. In the morning we trained at the Doncaster site and did a lot of basic training but working alongside the other dogs. At lunchtime we all went to a café for something to drink and to see how the dogs got on together. In the afternoon we all went to Lakeside in Doncaster and did group activities and walked round the lake. It was a very informative day and would thoroughly recommend it. Rhiannon and Adam the trainers were very hands on and gave lots of positive feedback and little hints and tips.

Superb day with The Dog Training Company on their Owner Boost Day. So recommend giving this a go. Both Teddy and I were shattered at the end of the day. Looking forward to the next one.

I would give this place 5 out of 5! We had our training with Adam at Sheffield (who was fantastic). We have a Anatolian Shepherd x Great Dane that was from a rescue centre and she was given back 3 times due to her behaviour. We approached the training company through recommendation and we cannot thank them enough! Our dog had a lot of issues that needed dealing with, she was 3 years old and was extremely reactive towards dogs and people through over excitement but she would lunge on the lead, jump and do 360’s at sight of anything on a walk and was basically uncontrollable. Her general etiquette and manners were non existent. We could never be in a social environment or walk her at normal time when there were others about. After training with Adam for 5 121 sessions and 2 boost days she is a different dog altogether! She’s now an asset to our family and wouldn’t swap her for the world. We also attended a handlers day, which was in a group environment with us and the dog and that was also well worth it. For anyone out there that needs assistance, look no further than this company. It is extremely worth the money we paid and has changed our life with Narla (our dog). The knowledge they have is fantastic, you will not be disappointed ☺️

Attended training here with our out of control 2yr old Lab! We were really struggling with heel walking and pulling on lead with some reactivity towards other dogs …… basically he was ruling the roost! The sessions not only help and support you but also give a great insight into your dogs behaviour and more importantly the owners behaviour! Rhiannon, Jade and the team at Doncaster were fantastic and guided us step by step and now we are on the way to having the dog we always wanted. Honestly it’s hard work tears, tantrums and a lot of laughs but the rewards make it all worth while Would highly recommend Nicola, Sarah & Jackson

If you're thinking of investing in any training for your dog, look no further. I am beyond words over how pleased we are that we chose The Dog Training Company. They were amazing. The service, the ease of it all and the above-and-beyond ethics of the staff proved to be worth every penny. We had a large cross bread dog who came from rescue with little knowledge about her background. Due to lockdown in her previous home, she had received no socialising and simply didn't know how to behave around other dogs. She quickly taught herself that any reaction would do and quickly got it wrong, suffering the result of a reactive dog who attacked her. Our dog then became reactive herself, and would "burst" with very little prior warning. Walks became nerve wracking and the life we enjoyed with our dog became very different. We invested in professional dog training, after trying the "cheap" way with conflicting and failing videos and online posts. There is SO much more to the training programme that this company offers, and without working on the foundation level, you would get no where. Without the training we got, we would still be no better off with our dog. Since completing her training in just over 12 weeks, she is a completely different dog and so many people have complimented us on her nature and mannerisms. We can go back to how we used to enjoy our dog, with calm and confident walks, exploring places both familiar and unfamiliar and all whilst knowing our dog is at her happiest. What more could we all want from this! Worth double what we paid. I personally had become nervous and realised I was also adding to some of my dog's behaviour, so this was also worked on as a team during our sessions and I regained my confidence in handling my dog, dealing with everyday situations and knowing what to do/not to do. I was so grateful for the extra empathy and time the staff spent training me as well as our dog! The staff were wonderful and you could tell each and everyone genuinely loved their "clients" and owners, and they were never patronising with the training they gave us. It was a genuine learning experience and something you could tell the staff had every faith in themselves too. As owners, we had to work hard between sessions, implementing all we had learnt and trusting the process. We found in the early days, our dog (due to her mix in breeds!) was stubborn and would tend to push the boundaries before accepting her fate, but it was literally an overnight difference with her. We could burst with pride at how well she has taken to her knew training and she is so much happier for it now. Thank you endlessly to Adam, Rhiannon and Jade at the Doncaster site. There are not words to describe what you have done for us. Please, please, please don't put off investing in dog training. I wish we had done this so much sooner! The Dog Training Company is exactly what we were looking for.

We brought our (then 7-month old) Staffy to Doncaster Dog Training Company as after he had broken his leg we had found his behaviour challenging post-recovery. We felt his injury had greatly impacted our time to actively train him and, because we coddled him during recovery, we felt we also enabled bad behaviour/habits to fester. We booked in with Dog Training Company for a Taster Session and haven’t looked back! Our assigned trainer Rihannon at the Doncaster Centre made us feel at ease from the very first moment we arrived. The first session was about assessment, discussing what we would like to achieve and looking at some theory (something we weren’t expecting but which laid the foundations for us over the course of the training and something we still refer to today!) The training plan was bespoke to our puppy’s needs and was focused on rebuilding our relationship with him, understanding his needs, reactions and perspectives in order to understand the causes of his behaviour, in turn enabling us to understand how best to respond effectively. We realised the training was just as much about training ourselves as it was about training him! Alongside this relationship work we have learnt valuable techniques and practical skills for how to identify bad habits forming in ourselves and our puppy, methods in how to positively train him in obedience, leadwork, socialisation, active play, and crate training; and have most importantly built a more closer, trusting, and nurturing relationship with him. We have seen a marked improvement in his behaviour, obedience, and control of his energy levels through this training. He is now completely crate trained with no barking/ nor any vocalising at all, can be left alone in the home for prolonged periods with little fuss, walks well on-lead, and his excitement around new people (jumping up etc.) has reduced to nothing more than mewls and lots of tail wagging! We would especially highly recommend Rihannon as a trainer who is patient, kind, informative, firm when needed!, trustworthy and so obviously loves what she does. She has been accessible to us throughout the process for any questions or concerns we might have and we have felt completely confident and at ease leaving our puppy in her care during Boost Days (which we also highly recommend!). We couldn’t have asked for any more from her! As owners we have learnt so much at the Dog Training Company Doncaster and we are all the better for it!

James at the Wakefield centre has been absolutely amazing. When me and Milo first started I had no control over Milo, he would bark, damage household things, chew furniture and everyone in the house would refuse to walk him as he was out of control and would pull/run away. James & the dog training company have helped me no only to understand Milos behaviour but actually how to control him better. Milo walks so much better on the lead, has stopped damaging the house and I have noticed a considerable amount of difference in Milo’s behaviour since started his training. Couldn’t recommend enough!😊 Thankyou Siobhan & Milo🐾

Our 18mth GSD/Dogue de Bordeaux was becoming a real handful, constantly pulling on the lead and with poor recall. Zack and the team at the Wakefield centre were fantastic, vastly improving his behaviour, and we would certainly recommend them "Kit" is still a "work in progress" At the training centre and at the car park we use to do our practice, he is fantastic. Attentive, slack lead, goes wherever you go! But as soon as we resume our walk he pulls, no matter how many times you check him or turn around :-) We may still go back to the centre for some refresher training, but for now we are persevering with the tools & advice given Thanks again

Excellent in a word. So glad we made the decision to attend sessions with Tommy in Leeds. Our Wirehaired Vizsla was having ideas of his own that we couldn’t seem to get on top of. Tommy was excellent with him. The programme was well structured yet informal and relaxed. Vini has come on tremendously since attending the programme and we are so pleased with the results. We learnt a lot about training too. Well recommended :)
