!!!AVOID!!!AVOID!!! These guys are absolute barracudas. I'm going to print out all of these reviews, Google earth historical pictures and take my chances at the county court. What a disgusting practice with these fine tickets. I'm going to make this viral alongside with 20 other people. They're going to be famous throughout entire Sutton Coldfield and in local newspapers are absolute thieves

Lost mine and my families custom after their ridiculous parking fines. Parked there when the shop itself was closed for 5 minutes and got a £60 fine. The shop wasn’t even open. How pathetic is that. My friend also got a fine for pulling into the bay read the sign and backed out the space. She didn’t even get out the car and was in the space for the time it took to to read the very low sign about parking. When will they realise they are losing more and more business over this parking situation.

Stopped my car in the parking bay outside the opticians, saw the sign, got out to read it, got back in the car and drove off all within about a minute which was about a week ago, now received £60 fine! Also, the opticians was closed at the time as it was outside of their business hours and the signs are placed in such a way (small and at a low angle on the wall) that it is impossible to see or read until you are already in the bay. Absolute scam.

Parking is so much easier these days. Thorough eye test, new glasses within 2 weeks..friendly staff...fairly expensive though

Would leave 0 stars if possible, staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful when trying to book appointments. Avoid at all costs. Not the first I’ve heard such negative feedback from this business. DO NOT GO

Update your parking fines to run between your opening hours and I'd consider coming back. Being fined for pulling up outside your business for (literally) 3 minutes on a day that the business is closed and being hit with a £100 fine is outrageous. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person, judging by how poor the google rating is for this place now!

This opticians is so handy for me and since being diagnosed as a diabetic I have used them for my annual eye screening. However they no longer offer this service and rather than saying that I had been fobbed off numerous times by staff saying the machine is not working. I will move my opticians to one that can support my diabetic needs, which is a shame as it was really handy for me.

Fined for pulling in to a space and moving within 5 minutes as I was told by someone that I couldn't park there. The shop was not even open at this time but I was still fined within days of this, I was pretty certain that a company such as Malcolm Greys would have a sense of fairness and would maybe have considered 5 minutes as a slap on the wrist and not to send a fine out. When I have called Malcolm Grey to discuss this I have been palmed off by receptionist who says this has nothing to do with them, I said well you request the parking system to be put in place do you not, and they agreed...so therefore it should be at your discretion to decide whether or not someone is deserved of a fine instead of allowing a third party to make those decisions for you. Your rating on google is plummeting very quickly and after reading it seems all to be related to the parking fines that the THIRD party are handing out willy nilly. If I were you I would have a long think about whether or not the parking fines are worth the integrity of your company as a whole. I would not be supporting this small business as they obviously cannot understand that people make mistakes, and a small error such as parking in one of there spaces will land you with a large fine...not to mention that this is in the middle of a cost of living crisis.

Had to give a STAR to make the post! My son was looking for glasses and pulled onto their empty car parking area outside Malcolm Gray opticians to look through the window as they were closed as it was late in the evening. Today we have had to stop the County Court Action being taken by the company Malcolm Gray use and pay £256.56. I will now make a point of bringing to the attention of anyone who will listen not to use this company.

You should make it clear that you will be fined £100 by pulling into a parking space, even if its for a matter of minutes. Scamers!
