The store itself is spacious, calming and every section of it is carefully considered. The staff are incredibly helpful and always willing to chat. Sally in particular went out of her way to find my size of a shoe in the previous season's collection, which had been impossible to source anywhere else, and so happened to be the last pair in store. I always stop by the store whenever I am in Central London and will continue to do so in the future. 🖤

Store manager Gianluca Scarcella was incredibly rude and dismissive when I tried to bring in a recently purchased broken belt that I sought a repair for. He assessed the broken belt in person and confirmed it was broken, and made me log into my online bank account on my iPhone to view the belt's receipt before denying me service. He refused to help me and told my mother and I to leave the store. He kept walking away from us to help other customers. I was frustrated and embarrassed with the entire situation, as I was just trying to get a repair service for a product I had just bought recently. He repeatedly said they could not do repairs, and asked us to leave. I asked him for his name, and he proudly showed me his business card, which is how I got his name for this review. I have since emailed Margiela's customer service who apologized for the situation and confirmed to me that customers are entitled to "an exchange, or repair (if possible), or store credit, if the product is confirmed as faulty by the boutique, at a boutique of my choice". They wrote to me that if I sent photos to show proof of the broken belt, it would be entitled to a full repair at one of their stores in-person, which is exactly what I had tried to do in the first place before I was wholly rejected. I don't live in London, nor do I have a Margiela store in my hometown vicinity, so my chance to repair the belt was gone when I left and I never got it repaired. It's unclear why this store manager refused to honour this policy when I took the right steps to get a recently purchased item fixed. This was an awful and quite frankly embarrassing experience solely because of him. The other review here praising this specific manager looks like it could have been written by his friend as it is the only review posted by that Google account. The other reviews about him denying other customers from repair services speak volumes.
