He and the other staff are always incredibly helpful whenever I go there, nothing is too much trouble and they don’t make you feel like any question is a stupid question. The tanks are always spotless and it’s clear they care about the welfare of the animals they sell. They do a top job and always go the extra mile. Thank you :)

I have been buying fishing from maidenhead aquatics for over ten years but on my last visit to one of their branches (mayford) i was left feeling frustrated. After viewing the stock for over 40 mins and making a variety of selections for my new tank (i have over 3000 litres of tank space) i approached the counter only to be told that the fish i had picked were infact NOT for sale and were personal shop displays from which the fish would never be sold. I have since been to the branch at bordon country market where i explained to the manager what had happened at mayford branch, he was gobsmacked! He informed me that the reality is that the mayford staff couldnt be bothered trying to catch the fish in such a large tank and so told me they were not for sale. I will not return to your mayford branch again, after spending thousands of pounds with this company only to be lied to simply because the 3 staff members were having too much fun sitting on the counter messing around. I have 20x more cichlids than any of your branches do but i still enjoy going with my wife and kids to pick some new fish but if the staff cant be bothered then maybe i ought to have a rethink about spending my hard earned money at this place and instead just not sell my homebred juveniles. I thought loyal customers were meant to be looked after, not lied to simply to avoid doing your job, which is of course to SELL FISH. Your loss! Just an update, since my review i was contacted by someone from the management team who apologised and then offered me the fish that i initially wanted to buy 🤣 erm.... no thanks, you get to waste my time only once, maybe your staff should have just done their job in the first place! Im sure the noddies of the hobby think the place is great but the people who have been doing this for years seem to have a different opinion on this store. AVOID if you appreciate your time.
