Excellent. The staff are hugely knowledgeable, and tanks look clean and well maintained. We've been using Maidenhead at Rutland for about 10 years, but more so over the last 18 months since setting up a large freshwater aquarium. The guidance and support we've had from them has been invaluable, providing advice on livestock, equipment and running/maintenance. All of our fish come from here, and we've had no problems to date. The staff take their responsibilities for the wellbeing of their livestock seriously - on a number of occasions they could have made money from us but steered us away from a purchase either because our tank setup wasn't mature enough (at the beginning) or because of incompatible water conditions or tank mates. Newcomers would be well advised to take their advice. Great to have a place like this on the doorstep.

Brilliant advice and service. I came here to buy a goldfish for my newly setup 20L fish tank, but after getting advice about how big they get i was advised to go for fish that dont grow so big or arent as messy like Danios, i really appreciated this information as i wanted the best care for my fish. They had a 2 year old fancy goldfish called Elvis (pictured) which they showed me and who was 5-6 inch and gets bigger, he certainly wouldnt have been suitable for my tank. Thanks.

My partner has bought a fish from here a apparently we need to buy all sorts for the Fish it was way too expensive and the staff are very poorly and very rude this will be the last time will be coming here I have been there so many times but this is the last time they judges when we come in to have a look around and I prefer pets at home because the staff are very nice and don’t touch you when you’re having a look round
