Unveiled in 1968 attributed to Fredda Brilliant, Grade II Listed and set in a prominent location in the square. Gandhi, an alumnus of UCL, is sitting on the ground: passive, contemplative, exuding authority, humility and an all to human fragility. Masterful likeness and well worth seeking out.

Nice bronze. Cross legged sitting statue, set upon an ovaled stone hollowed out altar/plinth, which is in turn sat atop of 4 steps, giving him an elevated position in the centre of Tavistock Square. Always seems to have votive offerings placed about him in the form of flowers
