We had the opportunity to stay at Magpie Cottages at the end of 2022 and we had a fabulous time. The accommodation is exactly what you want in a relaxing break. All the staff and owners are super helpful, welcoming and kind. We enjoyed the stay so much we also stayed again in early 2023! Definitely great value for money and the grounds, walks and area is fabulous. 10/10.

A lovely spot, so much to do and hosts Liz and Ian are so warm and helpful and make everything easy. Accommodation was light and airy and comfortable and the spa is a real treat and so well maintained. Great value and highly recommended!!!

We were attending the Firestorm Festival and came across this wonderful quiet haven while looking for somewhere to stay offsite. It truly is a gem and although we didn’t make full use of the Spa - we did get one session in there which was very relaxing. The food that is available is top class and thanks to Will for breakfast and dinner. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. Beautiful location by the river and a nice walk alongside it - would love to have done more exploring but the Festival dictated our time allowed. Will be back next time for a ride and more time in the Spa

Absolutely stunning location. Very Comfortable cottage right on the river with an abundance of wildlife. Very relaxing and amazing to have access to the spa facilities. The steam room was a treat and loved having breakfast in the gazebo overlooking the river. We took our horses too and the Yard was immaculate (BHS approved). Would definitely recommend and will be back.

A HIDDEN GEM. A wonderful place to stay with great facilities. The cottage was fabulous, high end finish with everything and more you could have needed. A great place for the family to stay, or just like we did, a great escape for two for a long weekend Additional facilities were also amazing. We used the sauna, steam and hot tub which each cottage has slots available to them. Ian and Liz were fantastic hosts looking after us and running a brilliant place to bisot and stay

Amazing accommodation and staff, The owner (Liz) was lovely, she let our 5 year old daughter feed the Chickens and she introduced her to the Horses. Will be coming again for longer definitely.
