The best experience I've had at a dentist in decades! Admittedly I hadn't been to a dentist in 10 years and my previous experiences were pretty traumatic. But after suffering with some tooth ache recently, I took the plunge to go private and after ringing around a few practices in the Portsmouth area Magnolia House Dental Practice was one of only a couple to call me back. From the outset the administrative team were friendly and welcoming. I had the privilege to be seen by Dr Ashka Patel, one of the practice owners. From the first consultation Dr Patel provided clear guidance and constant reassurance and made me feel at ease. Unfortunately, due to my long absence from any dentist, I had to have 2 fillings, which due to their location, led to a root canal procedure and finally a crown on the affective tooth. Through the whole experience I was given plenty of information about the procedure and even learnt a few things about my precious teeth. Even though I also had a phobia of needles Ashka's informative approach and constant reassurance meant that I didn't suffer any anxiety issues and got through the procedures very comfortably. The root canal procedure itself was carried out by the practice's endodontics specialist Dr Maslinda Mohamad. What a character! Happy, chatty, informative and equally as reassuring. I'm now an ongoing client of Magnolia House Dental Practice, and having a renewed faith in dentists, I will never miss a check-up appointment again.
