After going to specsavers for years and finding out for myself I had gone blind in one eye through cateracs which they did not pick up after going on a regular basis,and now having cateracs in the other eye my sight has rapidly got worse.i was recommended by friends to go to Maginis which I have to say have had excellent service from the day I walked into the practice.The staff are polite helpful and very knowledgeable helping me in whatever way possible.i have been referred ASAP to Midland eye which are in the process of operating very soon.Dr Palmer has saved my sight and I carnt thank him enough.His exact words were" i am not here to just prescribe you glasses which I could do but I am more concerned about your sight".something specsavers are not interested in.i would absolutely recommend Maginis to friends and family.And will not go anywhere else

I had a similar experience to Ann-Marie, except my problem was an insect bite near my eye which swelled up alarmingly. Optician saw me immediately and he was so thorough and helpful. Had an appointment this morning for varifocals and know the health of my eyes is in good hands. Receptionists and other optician friendly and professional. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had a pain in my eye and was having no luck finding anyone to see me (even the eye hospital said they were too busy and told me to find a local optician!) I phoned Maginnis opticians who saw me within half an hour. The optician was excellent and told me exactly what was wrong and told me what needed to be done. I was very impressed with this level of service and would thoroughly recommend.
