I worked at this cafe and B&B when it was Andy's Snacks & B&B. The proprietors then were Joyce & Phil Kingsnorth, who were both great bosses. I cleaned the B&B rooms, bathrooms and also worked in the cafe, which was in the early 2000's. It was a very popular cafe and B&B then and we had many regulars in both the cafe and staying in the B&B. One of the long standing residents in the B&B was Charlie, a lovely man and real character, who was a part of the place. We always kept the business extremely clean and the whole place was so well looked after by Phil & Joyce. They both spent many long hours working, even well into their 70's, when Phil very sadly passed away from cancer and Joyce carried on with the help of her staff. The business was later sold and it is very sad to see the poor ratings on here now, for what was once a much loved business for my former bosses, Phil & Joyce. I am giving 5 stars for the place I once worked!!

My stay at Magees was temporary accommodation 2019 December to 2020 end of October during my horrific time there , upon my arrival my room there was stains everywhere blood splatters up the wall by the sink and holes in the floor not to mention the curtains haven’t been washed for 30 years nicotine stained to smithereens although the bedsheets were clean the kitchen down stairs provided was extremely unsanitary flies woodlice and wonky floorboards rusty oven grills with burnt on fats and rusted oven rings and two unplugged freezers with mouldy food in with a stench that only be described as dead bodies inside not to mention the other tenants. Of extreme mental health issues !! The risk assements were just not implemented by Swale borough council the whole building should be deemed unfit for purposes of temporary living and should be investigated by an outside investigation team it has taken me a while to say something as staying here caused my mental health to decline since relocating I’ve managed to get back on track with my life and felt the need to write this honest review kind regards

My tracksuit and shoes was stolen in my room while I was in the shower this place is not suitable for family the council is fraud and a liar they haven’t don’t nothing about my stolen items which is very upsetting. A mouse in my room which wouldn’t leave and is fast to kill this place is disgusting a lot of mouses in this hotel
