EDIT: Reviewing on behalf of a partner who lived with MAF. These are great people to live with if you want to hate every minute of your time attempting to interact with their customer service, and having entirely would be illegal to enforce clauses in tenancy agreements. Not being allowed to have overnight guests without written consent was a personal favourite (violation of the UK right to quiet enjoyment), especially coupled with the final clause stating that anything found to be unlawful in their contract is basically void. I.e.: they know about their shady contract and refuse to do anything about it. Would recommend everyone look to people actually competent for their uni accommodation. :)

Update- reply back to MAF- we wrote on the inventory about the clumps of hair on the floor in the bedroom, and white stains on the floor. As well as the bath, I emailed and was told it would be sorted- it was never sorted. As well as this I’ve remembered waking up one morning to a painter opening the flat, and I hadn’t received an email prior to tell me someone was going to enter the flat at 10am. The whole thing was one sided on both parties, I wasn’t in contact with my house mate and anything you discussed to them wasn’t relayed back to me. Also I would like to know how we left the flat in an unclean condition? The only thing that could have been seen as unclean was the carpets because the hoover has absolutely no power to it and hardly works. Only lived here a month. MAF didn’t tell me there was a £50 charge for the tenancy takeover which was frustrating. Also when I first moved in it definitely hadn’t been deep cleaned and was clumps of hair on the carpet. The bath plug didn’t work and I emailed, but still wasn’t fixed by the time I left. Very disappointing I was paying for a flat where I couldn’t even use the bath. I also requested a dining room table which also never came. Would be less hassle and cleaner to live elsewhere

Could not recommend MAF enough! Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Devonshire point. The flat was lovely, perfect location and good value for money. The staff are friendly and very quick to respond to any queries or sort any issues. Stress free and simple - exactly what we needed in our final year of uni. Thanks MAF! 😁

Maf properties is the best accommodation agency in Sheffield. I lived at Wilkinson Street when I was student and I’m now living with my friends in one of their apartments at Devonshire Point. I work in Sheffield City Centre so it’s a convenient place to live. The flat is beautiful, modern and spacious and it’s a really high standard for the price.

DO NOT EVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THESE PEOPLE THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY! Lived at the student flats with my 5 other friends during my second year and had the worst experience. Within the first month of living there we experienced an attempted break in and we’re all a bunch of girls and you can imagine how scared we was, we got no form of support whatsoever from our “landlords”. We received the pin to the back doors two weeks before leaving the site and went days without heating or warm water. The wifi doesn’t even work we used our neighbours wifi for the last couple months and we are university students, WIFI is mandatory in a student home. They have no urgency to fix any issues, they are currently trying to charge us 1.3k for barely anything at all. One of our tenants left the site in early October and her room was untouched but they are trying to take her deposit too?? Worst landlords ever, they’ve only returned us 160£ of our deposit when we gave them a total of 1500. Understandable if we punched holes and wrecked and broke everything in the property but that is not the case at all. Would not recommend they will never be seeing me again.

Maf properties is the best student accommodation I’ve ever stayed in in Sheffield. We stayed at Ecco and our friends stayed at ecclesall gate, Both flats were beautiful and of high quality. I would definitely recommend maf properties.
