Kitchen installations are costly endeavours so we definitely shopped the market but were impressed with Madina's products and are glad we went with them. There were some hiccups along the way that caused a lot of headache, but I think overall, what really helped the company was the customer service provided by Saphia post kitchen purchase and the service by the designers (Salvia, Ash, Sarfaraz) and Shahid. Honestly, when we first arrived at Madina, I was ready for lofty claims that wouldn't be met but I remember Shahid writing on the cabinets and showing us how easily they were cleaned and how good the quality of the cabinets were. We shopped around at Wren, Howdens, Wickes, Borscsh and some smaller kitchen stores but that image and quality were clearly the most impressive of the bunch. We decided to get our kitchen designed by Salvia and over the next few months, we came in a number of times changing and modifying the design to just precisely how we wanted it. There was never a complaint that we needed to just get the kitchen installed and she patiently got on with it understanding that what we wanted wasn't the bog standard and she tried to customize it precisely to how we wanted it. This was the easy part. Unfortunately, and this is actually what would have made me mark Madina down to 2-3 stars was the absolutely terrible kitchen fitter we were given. He was nice on the first day but we had advised him that we didn't have our dishwasher and would be happy to pay him a call out fee to come back. He assured us he would do everything but the DW and come back. That's not what happened. He left significant parts of the kitchen undone (plinths, larders, shelves), left a large hole in the pipework behind the sink (that he denied until we showed him pictures), didn't install the rubbish disposal (which he said he would) and then insisted on the majority of the money upfront. Then when he came back, he tried to change the call out fee, and besides that had made agreements to come back and not shown a handful of times, wasting our time. On more than one occasion, he showed up (once unannounced), spoke to us rudely on the phone and in person and threw a strop when we complained about him back to the store. The owner wouldn't send anyone else out in his steadwhich was frustrating . I can't be too upset at the owner because he had come out after hours to see what the problem was and supervised Amar on the job to make sure everything was done properly by the end and did ultimately treat us well throughout the process and made up for Amar's terrible service in other ways through both our kitchen and utility purchase. Ultimately the job was finishe but to this day, I would NEVER recommend Amar as your fitter. Even months after, we had to have Max/Maqsood come fix one of our larder doors d wouldn't shut and in places around the kitchen you can see some of the subpar finish. That being said, Saphia who becomes your point of contact post-sale was always helpful, kind, courteous and tried her utmost to make sure she would do what she could to make the experience run smoothly. The Madina product + this customer service made us happy to continue to use Madina again for our utility. Ash was a lovely designer for the utility and he along with Sarfaraz did a great job making recommendations and designing it. The fitter we had for this job was Muhammad. I WOULD 100% recommend him. He was punctual, diligent, courteous, respectful, very neat and precise in his work and just a hard-working, respectable man who I would be happy to have come back if we had more work to do. He was meticulous with great attention to detail and I have no qualms about his work. To sum it up: Madina's product: Best on the market, great price, great finish and a stunning kitchen and utility! Madina's best aspects: Customer service (thank you Saphia for everything!!), Good and patient designers (Salvia, Ash, Sarfaraz), Good salesmanship (Shahid) and a good fitter in Muhammad. The professional Sarfraz who dealt with us was the best we have ever had he helped with designing of worktops, kitchen taps, cabinets, construction of cabinets and ideas etc. Would definitely go to him for future advice and opinions.
