Following a previous and successful instruction some two years prior to replace my private side flat roof, decking boards and part associated structure, I contacted Victor again of M Roofing, to extend the same roof covering and guarantee. This followed my own removal of an area of associated pitch roof and structure. Victor undertook an initial detailed inspection and discussed my requirements for the new area of roof and associated detailing requirement. A proposal was agreed and instructed. A new sloping roof structure was created to falls, fascia and capping detail with new felt laid to existing. Victor is very meticulous and hard working and committed from early start to late working day finish. I would highly recommend his services based upon this work. Spoke to Victor back in July and chose M Roofing over three others to overlay my flat roof, with a date pencilled in for mid-September. As the date approached I found them very unresponsive. I didn't mind if things had slipped a little - I just needed to know. The phone was rarely answered and when it eventually was I was promised a call back that evening with a scaffolding date. Two weeks later I still hadn't had the callback. By then I'd managed to get another roofer at short notice (Capital Roofing in Greenwich) who managed to dig me out of the hole M Roofing had left me in. I can't therefore comment on the quality of their work but I'd stay well clear - so disorganised and disrespectful. Update further to company response. I appreciate the time you took to respond and yes, you did mention issues with Covid. I also appreciate family comes first but a lack of response when you are isolating at home and surely have 5 mins, even just to say, "sorry - please look elsewhere as events have unfortunately overtaken us" is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful to clients/prospective clients. When we spoke on the phone about scaffolding you could have stepped back at that point but I wasted another two weeks assuming you were still in a position to do the work. Anyway, I hope all is now fine with your family and business and also wish you a good 2022.
