I met with 'Chris' today and was very very impressed. The whole experience of selling some of my old jewellery could not have been easier and I was extremely impressed with the level of service offered. Having never sold any jewellery before I was naive and could have easily been 'ripped off'. Chris was however, very honest and promptly told me that what I'd thought was 14ct gold, was in fact 18ct! (The hallmarks were in Arabic). He also gave me a valuable tip in that you should never tell a buyer what carat gold an item is because if your wrong, as I was, you can easily loose money if not dealing with an honest person. The price I was offered, was also exceptionally good. I'd not expected to get the amount of money I did, despite weighing the items and checking today's gold prices. An honest, pleasant and very helpful person. I cannot rate 'M J Hughes' more highly. Thank you
