I was attracted to this firm after reading the review. After a few weeks of chain requests for information, we provided all the requested info with sheer patience. They don’t ask questions in one go but they work in a drip feeding mode. Instead of conveyancing work for the property in question, the conveyancer, Sarah, just kept coming back to us asking for a series of bank statements, previous house purchase contracts and bank transactions that happened decades ago. Guess what, after a few weeks, she wrote an email saying that despite all the documents provided, they now realise they don’t actually have the necessary expertise in carrying out conveyancing for our case. I don’t doubt the authenticity of all the 5-star reviews, but in our case, this is a total disappointment and wasted a good few weeks of time and resources.

Highly recommend Lyons & Co. I have recently completed two separate property transactions with Lyons & Co (a sale and a purchase) and have been hugely impressed by the quality of advice, level of service and speed of the team there. Every email I sent had a same day reply (or early the next working day if out of hours). Even when my main contact was on leave, temporary cover was in place and that reply speed was maintained. The phone is answered quickly when you call and everyone I spoke or wrote to was helpful and friendly and most importantly knew the answers to the questions. When our purchase was having some challenges with a long chain, Lyons kept on top of it following everything up and generally doing exactly what you need them to be doing in that situation. Following a bad experience on a previous purchase with a different solicitor, my view was pretty jaded but that has been turned around by the extremely efficient service from Lyons & Co.
