I stopped at the clinic for a week after my hip replacement. My stay was excellent, the staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them. Two sessions of physio a day certainly speeded up my recovery, The food was lovely and one evening my daughter came for a meal with me.

I spent a wonderful week at Lynden Hill, recuperating from a hip operation. The nursing & physiotherapy staff were beyond fabulous - kind, professional & very patient. I'd also like to thank the catering & admin staff too - nothing was too much trouble for them. I'd recommend Lynden Hill in a heartbeat.

My mum stayed here after her knee replacement. She initially booked for two, but the care she was receiving and the progress she was making made her decide to stay for two more, plus she was absolutely loving the food. It was lovely to be able to join her for lunch when I was visiting and the staff were very welcoming.

I recently spent a week at Lynden Hill following a full hip replacement. I cannot find the words to express my satisfaction, praise, gratitude to every single member of staff. The facilities are outstanding, the individual care and concern exceptional, the physios - and I had three different ones - superlative, the food worthy of a Star! Nothing was too much trouble. I could go on. I'm due for a new knee next so I'll be back. Thank you!

I recently underwent a full knee replacement and I have to say, given my busy work schedule and being fortunate enough to have medical insurance I paid very little mind to the operation or its connotations. I heard my surgeon say it might be good if you go into a rehab facility for ‘a few days’ after the operation. Accommodation / Health Carers / Nurses: So we researched and booked into the Lynden Hill Clinic. Needless to say, 3 days after my surgery I arrived at this beautiful country house near Reading and I realised the operation that I had gone through was not a 3 day rehab, more like 2-4 months! I arrived and I was in a pretty miserable state but after being there for 2-3 Days, the genuine and caring energy I received from the staff across the board really changed my mindset. Not only did they counsel me on the nature of the rehab I was starting my journey on but they also gave me a lot of much needed motivation to get down to the job in hand. I ended up staying there for nearly 3 weeks and have had some form of engagement with most members of staff during this time. All of whom are unequivocally some of the most caring, kind and genuine people I’ve met. The nursing staff, a lot of whom have been there for a very long time, were excellent and clearly dedicated to their patients' recovery and comfort. They all had that good old British empathetic bedside manner that you don’t get anywhere else (certainly not in the US where I was based for years) . All in all, the rooms were spotlessly clean and very hygienic. The room I had was a good size, airy with great country views. Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation: The physical therapy team went above and beyond. What was most impressive to me during my time was that even though I had one or two dedicated personal therapists, the entire team was in the loop and aware of my limitations, abilities and requirements. Upon arriving home this week, my doctor and physical therapist were amazed at my progress. F&B: Although I didn’t interact with the other guests or eat in the dining rooms, they were beautifully laid out with a piano player in the evenings and looked very comfortable when patients visitors wanted to come and eat. There were a number of guests complaining about the food quality, but my response to them was how is the rehab? They said it was excellent. So I said, well I see they are ambitious with their F&B menus but I think you have to put this into perspective as to the primary reason why you are in the facility. If you take the time to read the menu, remind yourself you are in a rehabilitation centre (not at the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant at The Savoy). Manage your expectations, stick to the simple things from the menus and you won’t be disappointed. I think they were probably a tad ambitious with some of their dishes but on the whole I ate well. Forgive me for anyone I have forgotten as I can’t recall everyone's names, but big thanks to Deny, Sofi, Michelle, Josh, Agnieszka, Flavia, Rahul, Sara, Ann, Hussam, Emerson, Polly, Anna, Emma, Luis P, Luis S and the golf buggy chauffeurs. To end - I would 100% recommend your facility in the future, both to my surgeons rehab team and anyone I know who would need a clinic such as yours. JB

I have just spent a week at Lynden Hill following a partial knee replacement. I was apprehensive and feared it would not be geared to rehab, but just an old age home. How wrong I was, on meeting others, the question was knee or hip. The set up is amazing, physio of the highest standard twice a day, with views over the beautiful gardens. A golf buggy to take us to the physio. The nursing and care staff could not have been kinder and more helpful. Ice packs provided within seconds, medication explained. And the food was exceptional, an exceptional experience. Thank you to all, you have put me on the road to recovery.

I recently spent 2 weeks at Lynden Hill Clinic following surgery for a full hip replacement. In summary, I cannot recommend the clinic and its team highly enough. It is a truly wonderful place which professionally supported every aspect of my physical and psychological wellbeing post surgery for a speedy full recovery. I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. The physiotherapy team were simply brilliant and my thanks to them all, especially Annie and Rahul who took great care of me throughout my stay. The team provided twice daily physio and hydrotherapy sessions which were tailored to my specific needs and quickly gave me the confidence to be up and about in no time. All of the nursing staff were wonderful too ensuring 24 hour medical care to the highest standard. Huge thanks to the Clinic Manager Shirley and the admin team who made me welcome the minute I entered the front door. I must also call out the catering team who turned out the most delicious home cooked meals everyday throughout my stay. The clinic is set in beautiful grounds and I was fortunate to have a lovely room overlooking the gardens. I noted that many of the team have been at the Clinic for many years, clearly love their jobs and rightly take great pride in the care they provide. They are a wonderful exceptional team and I was sorry to say goodbye at the end of my two weeks. I cannot recommend and thank them all enough.

I broke my leg skiing and a friend said I needed to go into a rehab clinc for a bit. Best piece of advice. Lynden Hill is excellent with 2 physio sessions a day and lovely food and so many helpful staff. The clinic began my painful recovery and without it, I would still be in trouble. The physio is excellent( I speak as a doctor) If you can afford it do it, after a fracture or joint replacement. do it, your recovery will be much better

My stay at Lynden Hill was invaluable. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Of course it was great to be waited on and looked after so well, but it was the fabulous physio team that really made my stay so worthwhile. Rahul and the team were very kind and gentle, but firm enough to push me to get results. Overall an excellent experience and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone in need of post op rehabilitation.

I had the misfortune to end up at Lynden Hill Clinic over Christmas having had a knee replacement at Epsom Hospital on the 20th December 2021. I was still in a lot of pain on arrival at LH which the staff were unable to control. They showed very little care and compassion and were often very rude and dismissive of my pain. I was told by Imogen [the head one] that if I did not stop crying with the pain she would get rid of me!!!!!!!!!!. As Corvid hit while I was there nobody could visit me in my isolated room which made matters even worse. While taking my BP it was found that my oxygen levels were very low so I was sent by ambulance to hospital in Reading where I spent 3 weeks. The nursing staff there were very understanding and caring unlike those at LH.I have since wondered if the nursing staff were fully qualified at LH.
