Beautiful location, great new shower facilities, and friendly, competent team who are really on the ball. Very conveniently situated in the town center (great for exploring boutiques and dining out, Tesco a short walk away). Stunning, long nature walks are practically at your doorstep too, it’s a ~15min walk along the coast and you are already in the marshes. Definitely dog-friendly too - there is a decently sized park a ~5min walk away where they can run around, perfect for when they need to let off a little steam between “big” walks. We had three high-energy, big breed dogs on a relatively small boat and felt it was a very easy place to stay with them.

Well what a find! This was our first visit since the changes to the berthing layout and we were very impressed with the new pontoons. The quay has a lovely atmosphere - far better than the characterless (and expensive) marinas further down stream and we enjoyed meeting lots of new people. The staff could not be more helpful - from the first contact to try and get a berth in what was a very busy period to the welcome and helpful advice from all the dock staff LHC can feel very proud of what they have achieved with this facility and of the people they now have running it. Thank you - we will be back again soon!

The marine staff very helpful but the refurbished pontoons are totally let down by disgusting facilities. Filthy floors, hair left in plug holes, rubbish everywhere and no evidence of having been cleaned in a very long while. Under normal circumstances these facilities would be rated 1 star at best, but in the light of a necessity for a higher standard of hygiene than normal, these facilities are a disgrace. If you can use your own facilities on board then it is a pleasant place to moor. However, if you wish to use facilities then pay just a few pounds extra and go to Berthon or the Yacht Haven. Unfortunately the management will pay no attention to this review as the same complaint appears to go back years. Their excuse is that they will be replaced in a year or so, but this is not a reason to lower hygiene standards. Shame on management.

Our first visit to the new berths on the quay. Really good experience, made even better by a great staff - everyone smiling and helpful - from first contact by phone arranging the booking, to the warm welcome from the Harbour Master afloat when we arrived. Busy, but cheerful and endlessly happy to assist. We’ll be back when we next visit Lymington. The showers and toilets will be next for update, I’m guessing.

A recreation ground is very near the harbour and this quay area, so you can sit with your picnic lunch and enjoy the Isle of Wight ferry coming slowly into the harbour. The harbour office is near, along with Lymington Sailing club where you can enjoy the views. Lymington is a port on the west bank of the Lymington River on the Solent, in the New Forest district of Hampshire, England. It is to the east of South East Dorset and faces Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight which is connected to it by a car ferry, operated by Wightlink. The town of Lymington lies within Southampton and south west Hampshire and contains the villages of Beaulieu, Boldre, Hordle, Milford-on-Sea, Pennington and Sway. The town has a large tourist industry, and is situated near the beautiful New Forest. It is a major yachting centre with three marina’s. A beautiful, Georgian market town, Lymington is situated on the southern edge of the New Forest, between Southampton and Bournemouth and at the western end of the Solent. The town is recorded in the Domesday book of 1086 as Lentune. around 1200 the lord of the manor, William de Redvers created the borough of New Lymington around the present Quay and High Street while Old Lymington comprised the rest of the parish. He gave the town it’s first charter and the right to hold a market. The town became a Parliamentary Borough in 1585 returning two MP's until 1832 when its electoral base was expanded. Lymington continued to return two MP's until the Second Reform Act of 1867 when its representation was reduced to one. On the passage of the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885 Lymington's parliamentary representation was merged with the New Forest Division.
