FAQ
What specific services and resources does your association provide for veterans and their families?
We are actually an Army Cadet Force that provides military-themed training to young people aged 12 to 18. However, we do offer opportunities for cadets to interact with veterans and participate in events that honor their service. We also have links to outside organizations that specifically provide services and resources for veterans and their families. Can you provide information on the membership process and any associated fees?
To become a cadet, interested individuals can attend one of our open evenings or contact us directly. Membership is free and we provide the uniform and equipment needed for training. All we ask is that cadets are committed to attending regularly and are willing to learn. How does your association advocate for and support current and former members of the Armed Forces?
As a cadet force, we instill values of discipline, respect, and loyalty that are also important in the Armed Forces. We also participate in events that honor and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country. In addition, we have links to outside organizations that specifically provide advocacy and support for current and former members of the Armed Forces. Are there any limitations on who can join your association (e.g. specific branches of the military)?
Our association is open to all young people aged 12 to 18, regardless of their background or previous experience. We do not have any restrictions based on specific branches of the military. What types of events and community outreach programs does your association offer for its members and the wider veteran community?
We offer a variety of training opportunities for cadets, including fieldcraft, first aid, and marksmanship. We also participate in community events such as parades and Remembrance Day services. While we do not specifically offer events and outreach programs for the wider veteran community, we do participate in events that honor and remember their service.Reviews
