A wonderful experience. Daisy and Andrew are not only skilled furniture makes but also great teachers. Each day of the stool making course started with coffee and pastries followed by instruction on what we'd be doing. The guidance and help was tuned to our individual needs as we each progressed. Although we did our own thing Andrew and Daisy were always watching in the background ready to offer direction and also comforting words when things weren't going quite to plan. The facilities, instruction, tools and wood were all first class. Lunches were also pretty good especially the Friday pizza from Sartorelli's. Really pleased that I could learn something new and now inspired to build some storage cupboards in my garage. Daisy and Andrew, thank you!

I had never so much as touched these kinds of woodworking tools before. So this was totally unchartered territory for me. Daisy and Andrew were super-supportive, helping me pick up these new skills without getting frustrated - whilst at the same time allowing everyone else to work at their own (faster) pace. I definitely came away with a smile on my face, and keen to do more.

Excellent work from Daisy and Andrew for my dad's 60th birthday present. I commissioned them to do fire bellows with the name of the house on it. The result is simply stunning and my Dad could have not been prouder of it. Thank You !

I took a woodworking course here and it was great. Andrew and Daisy both gave me personal feedback on my project and offered suggestions on how to improve my skills. A knowledgeable and creative duo.

Well organised course and very enjoyable. I learnt a lot and produced a useful piece of furniture. Hands on tuition from Daisy and Andrew adjusted to each person’s skills. Good food breaks and relaxed atmosphere.

The workshop was amazing! I have always wanted to do some carpentry and never new where to start. This was the perfect introduction. We got to use some simple tools and experienced using different types of wood. We learned some joins and came away with beautiful items that I will treasure for my whole life! They were so knowledgeable and often got out pieces of wood and things that answered our curiosities. I am very small and the method was adjusted to accommodate me which was so appreciated! I loved it and I am hooked! I want to spend every Saturday in that adorable little workshop. Thank you!!!

Working with Daisy and Andrew was a delight - and the resulting new rag rug frame is beautiful and elegant and I'm very much looking forward to using it. Daisy and Andrew took great interest in the project - listened carefully to the brief, added to the design and were very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them - they are very skilled and caring crafts people.

Brilliant four-day stool making course. Highly recommended! The course blended small group instruction with time to work on the project, while Daisy and Andrew were always on hand for regular one-on-one tuition/problem solving. The result was that besides the project to make a stool - which is a really beautiful thing to take home! - the experience gave me a kind of understanding, plus skills and perspectives, which I know I will take away and use in the future. I also found that I could happily spend hour after hour in the workshop, either finding that wonderful flow state from concentration and focus, or joy in meeting and getting to know new people. Daisy and Andrew definitely know how to make it a good environment to be in - I had a bit of workshop experience before the course but this would have been the perfect introduction for someone completely new to everything. Four days was a really nice amount of time too; I got stuck in to the project and I was exhausted by the end of the week (in a good way).

I recently attended the dovetail course run by Daisy and Andrew. It was excellent and I thoroughly recommend it to those wanting to develop the skill (as well as picking up loads of other practical woodworking tips throughout the course!!). The instructors were patient and supportive and made the experience worthwhile and enjoyable. The woodshop environment and refreshments were an added bonus. The course has certainly stimulated my interest and enthusiasm to do more with the skills I picked up.
